  1. There is a mod for data2 to get dota2 in first person. Combine that with the dota2 tools and you might be able to already make a map in the new hammer. However, it's probably better to wait...

  3. I never played L4D1 but maybe I should. I have 39 hours in L4D2 but it got to boring for me after a while. I love how the zombies run. The maps are quite well made but it get repetitive after a while. I just don't like most of the guns. All the rifles / smg's feel the same to me. No matter if you have an AK, M4A1, UZI or whatever, you get 50 bullets in the magazine. The aim is horrible, if I remember correct it's cone fire, or at least it feels like it. I like the weapon feeling in killing floor, but I don't like the zombies in killing floor... (and the camping at a good spot). I'm still waiting for a good zombie game

  5. I play on 1024 x 768 now. Everything as low as possible. I have around 20 to 30 fps on nuke. That is without smokes in my screen. I can hardly buy any weapon. If i shoot a smg then it sounds like half of the bullets are never fired.

  7. Really nice. Your fluorescent light looks only really huge. And in the last image it looks like the light is coming from one source, is that true?

  9. I wonder what the ranks of the developers are. Also I really think the R8 could use a buff atm. It's nerfed to hard in my opinion, I think the delay could be a bit decreased to it's old value or something in between.
  10. The older I get the less I like valve. Sure their one of the best companies but maybe that tells more about the industry. I really like they dont work with deadlines and release whenever they want. I like they dont have share holders, and they have no marketing people. But hammer bugs from more then 10 year old still aren't fixed. TF2 has some serious exploits and bugs and balancing really OP weapons out takes them always a few months. They never have understand how cool day of defeat was so they totally raped the game with dod source. And when the steam controller has problems they give you every game you allready own to make up for it...

  12. I hated blender, I have tried it a few times in the past when it wasn't so good. They improved really well over the years. And they are heading in a nice direction with clear goals to work on.

  18. For your tutorial HAMMER: Advanced Tutorial #6 Part 2 Custom Models (Props) your engine path is wrong. Check around the 8:42 mark, after you set it it's still red. You have to set it to the bin folder of 'Counter-Strike Global Offensive' so not of 'csgo'. For me it is: C:\My Programs\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\bin But I readed that having this right is more important for DMX then SMD. ---- less important: I just figured out that if you do a scene export you end up with the same file. So you could have multiple models in 1 file and do a scene export to create multiple smd files I think. I thought you might like to know.
  19. @Nihil I just did your HAMMER: Advanced Tutorial #6 Part 1 Custom Textures tutorial and I dont think you have the normal map working, only the speculair map. Atleast I hope that is the case, else normal maps look really flat in source Edit: I made a grey texture and used the normal map from your tutorial and disabled speculair in the vmt and the normal map does work. I only expected a bit more from it. One note do, you use the normal map texture as a speculiar texture and have set that the alpha channel should be used. But the alpha channel is complete black. I think it looks a bit strange cause now you have a lot of specularity on places where you don't expect it. It would be better to have a specular texture as well. Now it might be a bit misleading. Still thanks do, great tutorials
  20. Fuck valve. This bug is at least 10 years old and still isn't fixed. Everytime I come back mapping it frustrates the hell out of me. What hammer do you guys use to make cs go maps in?

  22. I'm aware of that but thanks for pointing it out anyway. I just want to see how far I can get and move on from hammer to there if required. I did but never for source. I hope it will be less limited with source 2 rubikon.
  23. It's not really a trick, it's the normal way of doing things what you did was a trick About the bump map, I will try it soon when the time is ready. I need a pc first...
