o/ everyone,

Our game Reaction is up for voting on Steam Greenlight. It's a remake of Action Quake 2, the project that inspired CS and shaped the modern FPS genre with countless innovations. We've been working on Reaction since 2000 making massive improvements to the Quake3 engine along the way with PBR, parallax occlusion mapping, cascade shadowing with "rend2" our own custom renderer. The game is open source and free to play and retains all the core mechanics of Action Quake 2. We're hoping to make our next release on Steam with updated reworked levels to showcase our technology and share our creation with the world. If anyone wants to help contribute maps or give feedback to the game feel free to send us a message or reply to the thread. We look forward to hearing from everyone!

Thanks!

Action Quake 2...holy crap...that's a name I haven't heard in ages :o

I believe Gooseman used to work on it before starting CS in 99

Good luck with the remake, I'll be sure to drop by steam greenlight and give you a thumbs up.

Yes he did, along with Cliffe (voice of AQ2 and CS). Thanks for the support! Reaction has been Greenlighted on Steam! We're working on engine optimizations to the renderer and integrating the Steamworks SDK before we'll be able to release the game. If anyone is interested in helping out with mapping please feel free to send me a PM!
