Vilham
Until we start getting games in UE4 demonstrating it yeah. I imagine once that starts happening pretty much everyone will pass up on Cryengine (they basically already do). This should tell you all you need to know about that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unreal_Engine_games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_CryEngine_games
Zezeri
There are more indie developers on UE4 than on CE, no doubt. Although there are also some really nice indie projects on CE. In the AAA space, CE can compete. As I've said before, each engine has its advantages and disadvantages. Edit: Any Cry-corians care to comment ? e-freak
no, there's still some members here... Not sure what the point of the discussion is though. CryEngine is a very powerful engine for what it is and I've seen more than one indie doing fantastic things with it. It's not unity or unreal with tons of exchangeable parts, but it does what it promises. Zezeri
Ginger Lord
It's a great engine but there's a lot of tribal knowledge that without direct help from Crytek or ex-Crytek staff you'll struggle to achieve what the engine can produce. It's certainly harder than other engines to get to grips with (lack of documentation/support hinders a lot) but its a kind of self dependent circle. If more people used it, there'd be more documentation to help get more people in.
