  1. still doesn't work.. it flickers between black and the second screenshot in a 3-5 second tact. no idea why..

  3. i followed this tutorial and copied every file he had in the video description and of course changed the names and the paths accordingly, but somehow my model in the model viewer is completly black (although the model viewer doesnt show any error messages) and inside the map it switches bewteen completly black and black/white dotted I have not a single clue why this is and could use some help..
  4. So finally got more time to work on the map. Updates coming soon. I will work on the layout and work in the feedback i got and then schedule a playtest. I want to make the architecture more like it will be, when it's finished but maybe i will wait with that until after the playtest. I will in the following days update the workshop page and start modeling some basic stuff (im completly new to 3d modeling so don't expect anything grand)

  6. @Ynel thanks for your feedback i will have a playtest on TopHatWaffles server in a view hours and will consider what you said in the further work after the playtest. Update probably coming in 2 weeks because i have a exame in a week
  7. nice! maybe consider to give each part of the map a kind of own color for the lighting to separate them from each other and make pathfinding more easy?

  11. thats actually great but i think this wouldn't work for me because of several resons (e.g. my perfectionism and that i don't like giving work to others and probably the biggest problem is that i don't really know anyone who is into mapping or wants to take part in this competition). But when i have the time to work on the map i get quite much done so i think this won't be that big of a problem.
  12. im pretty excited ^^ altough the first two images look really dark.. maybe you could tweek the brightness in these areas?

  14. finally i can upload an update to the map. the layout should be finished either today or tomorrow and then i will upload a (hopefully) playable map end of the week or early next week. for now i made some decoration: hope you like it

  18. this could make the map hella ct sided but maybe it would also bring most of the fights to this door. try it and if doesn't work change it back
  19. changed the theme a bit and added a new moodboard: these screenshots are from the dreamworks movie "the path to el dorado" and i got the idea because it is one of the favourite movies of my girlfriend so maybe she will be happy too the general theme changed from ancient ruins to a colorful ancient south american city. i might change the layout or create a second one and get some feedback on them.

  21. i made a quick draw of a new layout that could work. ct-spawn will be lower towards the shore and t's spawn on the town wall as before. Mid could feature a market but i will figure that out along the way.
  22. oh my i didn't expect to get feedback that quickly first of all thank you very much for the feedback you were right on point with planing ("If they weren't then you probably didn't plan the rest of the map very well and just blocked it out on a whim") i will consider your feedback and make rework of the rest of the map. (i have some reference photos and will upload a moodboard the next couple of days but your photos will probably replace some of the junk i have )
  23. to after checking with fmpone i'll make a second entry to this contest: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1569226847 this is a project im currently working on. the layout needs some testing but i don't have enough friends to test it 5v5. The theming will be a victorian/industrial english kinda theme. the map is located in a harbor city with on bombsite on the docks and one on a ship that is going to be repaired or built. Im happy for any feedback. the more drastic the better because im at a point where im not quite sure what to do with it. I'll probably give more information in the following days.
