How do you furnish your levels? Techniques? Philosophy?
luque replied to Dradz's topic in Level Design
Nice reads HP. What I usually do is create somekind of image in my head by asking myself a few questions. What feeling should the room give? What does it have to communicate? What history does it have? Should there be anything in the room the player should notice? etc. -
Never had the issue Wesley, might indeed be your mad clicking skills or ur mouse =)

Talking about the return button... When I scrolled all the way down to check the last screenshot of a project there was no "go to top" or return button, so had to scroll all the way up and press return. Nitpicking but you might want to look into that =) Rest is awesome!

Keep it going, looking good. Just noticed that orange light isn't flickering at all, this is supposed to be a torch I reckon?

Did a huuuuuuuge revamp of my portfolio http://www.luukwaarbroek.com/ Changes * Removed blog, bio, about and contact pages * Home page now only shows big images of projects I'm most proud of * Clicking on one of those images will take you to the project page and give more info about it * Updated resume * Made big layout changes, now its far more simplistic Getting ready to apply to some big studios in about 5 months, know anything I can improve? Shout! Crits on work, website, resume etc. are more then welcome!

Looking good shadow keep it up! Some nice detail going on there.

Played it for a couple of days on the 360, story is just lol.... Skillshots system I did enjoy at the start of the game - it's presented like some kind of mini achievement list and whenever you perform a skillshot it completes that skillshot in the list. Although later in the game the list is huge and I am like woaaaa so many things which one am I gonna focus on etc. I do enjoy the panoramic views. Environment and atmosphere seems quite nice

What's the goal of this map? I see different architecture styles, especially the bridge pillars looking quite different from eachother. This does feel quite odd. Or is this exactly what you wanted to create? Some kind of tf2 blu / red team difference? The rocks look good, hard to see that it is only 1 mesh. Also love the last screenshot with the rounded bunker:)

Looks very good, made me think about Mirror's Edge the clean look and the white/greyish concrete contrasting with the bold colors.
