mikezilla Posted May 5, 2004 Author Report Posted May 5, 2004 the color usage is ... interesting... you have the right idea i think you're just doing too much of it too much red. too much crusty shit --- try erasing bits of it out... too much bevel shadow (it doesn't even look quite right) but its... interesting Quote
SKULLHOZER Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 Thanx for the crits!! I am going to work on a new "tech" one soon, anyway it's my 2nd that one so yeah... Quote
SKULLHOZER Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 The crates are up your arss, hehe - just joke (don't kill me) I think ppl will post some more soon... Quote
st0lve Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 I think I did a kinda useable one Atleast I think its the best texture I've made.. Its not that "techy" though I'll maybe make another "content" (like replace the blue with something) Quote
Absolut Vodka Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 st0lve thats much better than any other work ive seen from. Good to see its not a black box. The edges on the gray bits look funny though. The bevel effect you've tried to achieve is a big weird. I'd suggest looking at zilla's crate for the first crate contest to give you a good idea of how it should be applied. You could add more colours to it as well. But its definitely a step forward for you so well done Quote
Absolut Vodka Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 W00t!?!...bio hazard again!?! yes this wasnt meant to become a texture, and by the time I decided to make it one I couldnt be bothered to change the design.. anyway so blah blah blah zzz EDIT: did some minor changes. Thanks ir and posty Quote
IR Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 that looks prety cool abso .. some edges on the sign are abit iffy and some could use abit more lighting to give it more dept Quote

Guest The_Postman Posted May 6, 2004 Report Posted May 6, 2004 It's not abuse when I want it sexy. Rowr. Quote
st0lve Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 EDIT: I think its teh bst evr (that I made) Quote
kleinluka Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 huge step forward, st0lve. add more of those 1px highlights on the edges to give it depth. and zilla will kill you for using caution stripes. Quote
mikezilla Posted May 10, 2004 Author Report Posted May 10, 2004 unless of course that crate is filled with friggin unstable nuclear devices... but since your crate is obviously like 60 years old... i doubt anything worthy of CAUTION A CRATE is really there. Quote
Guest The_Postman Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Wear and tear to paint doesn't occur near the edges and corners, it happens where contact occurs, on the broad areas, and never as uniform as you have it there. Also warm up the coloration of the yellow on the stripes and perhaps limit them to only the top portion. That said, this is a huge step forward from your other textures, keep it up! Quote
