  1. More work on Insertion2. Trying out a new dusk/dawn lighting setup. I Think i'll stick to it. Will be nice to play around with lights to guide player movement. It's still a bit too dark though. Need to find the sweetspot between nailing the dusk/dawn look and good overall brightness. I posted these on Twitter as well at https://twitter.com/Oskmos So make sure tO SmASH THAT LIKE BUTTON!!

  8. Working on assets for a new CSGO map (Insertion2 basically). So this is just to test the assets, its not the actual map:
  9. Did anyone climb the treehouse (and did it cause rubberbanding?) on the Insertion playtest yesterday? Also sorry i could not attend the playtest of my own map lol
  10. Or compile a version of the map that has the entire map inside a big skybox cube, or a very high skybox.

  15. I would suggest that you get rid of all the trees and place the base high up in the mountain above the clouds, that could be cool and would help performance. with maybe a few mountains coming up above the clouds on the horizon. edit: I'm talking about mr.Ps map

  18. Thanks guys I'm pretty sure i fixed the bug. Logic_auto was triggering the env_fog to disable on map spawn. which caused major lag for some reason. So the map is ready for another playtest. A playtest with lots of players where everybody REALLY try to win. Find and use expliots etc. What day works best for most people?
  19. Thanks everybody for trying to play Insertion! Im gonna try to figure out what is wrong, this gave me some clues though. I think its the logic_auto that is doing too much/ something really bad at map spawn. Thanks Catfood for trying to help out with the server etc! Lets try this mess of a map some other time! Thanks Oh and I liked Catfoods map, dont have much feedback in terms of competetiveness... but I had fun! I really liked the way you could circle around the water, but didnt like that the water killed me
  20. edit: nvm downloading, map is acting really strange when on a dedicated server. Radar doesnt work, and me and RZL are getting some wierd LAG issue where the computer appears like the cpu's are working 100% on something in the background
  21. I tweaked them until I was happy with the way they looked I just meant that they arent really screenshot friendly when trying to show of the new blend stuff. Oh and thank you so much for taking the time to make this shader!

  23. I haven't really utilized the blending that much on Insertion, textures weren't made with that in mind but Im definitely going to use the shader in a smarter way in the future. The ability to blend 4 textures though is why its SO NICE on a huge terrain. Im using 18 different VTFs on 20 VMTs and setting that up with ordinary 2-blends would have been... yeah, not so nice Some Hammer pics:
