  2. BattleGrounds2 is getting ready to release its first BETA, to mark the occasion we have put together a media release for all our fans and potential players. Many thanks to Forlorn Hope for creating a gameplay trailer featuring footage taken from some of our testing sessions, the trailer is a little under 3minutes long and weighs in at 77mb. These new maps provide a great deal of diverse gameplay, we have focused on making the game more exciting by creating maps where the gameplay varies drastically from map to map. Screenshots of these maps can be found below. We have updated a couple of our player models, introducing the American Frontiersman & the British Jager. We are very pleased with the work what we have accomplished since 0.17, BG2 1.0b is currently in the final stages of testing, if all goes well we will be releasing this coming Saturday the 4th of February. The team would like to thank all our fans and everyone who has been a part of BattleGrounds to date, we hope to see you on the battlefield this Saturday.   3. In the pic that follows the grate type texture u have used has a godaweful lod to it, just disapears really close, there are some better textures u can use imho, stock hl2 textures. Other than that mate it looks freaken awesome, one of the best maps ive seen.
  4. Looks cool man, the color of the player models in the light is close, just seems a tad off to me given the environmentmal light / skybox. keep it up
  5. Looks nice and yes farcry kinda looks a little like what de_airstrip(?) would look like if sourcified, however I dont play cs:s so yer..
  6. brushwork looks nice, some of your displacements look a little strange and more than anything the odd lighting errors with your displacements. On some of the faces where they go thru another brush and light hits them from outside of the map it causes those obscure errors.

  8. Hi boyas, BattleGrounds Mod for Half-Life2 is currently seeking some fresh developers to help out with our next release which will be huge btw . We are currently looking for mappers but more than anything else we need an animator quite despirately. If anyone is interested in the mod but has skill in other areas we would also like to hear from you. I think it goes without saying what type of skill we require in the mapping department, generally we have outdoor maps so being able to create nice looking outdoor environments is a must.   9. lurrrrvvveeeely. The building on the right of the first pic looks verymuch out of place, its the brick/stone texture you have used tbh.. If it were a darker texture like the rest (not pink) it would look a lot better imho.
  10. Yeah the road is just something i chucked in so i could walk on it, deffinately going to mess it up a lot, im pretty backwards, i make all my buildings first then work out what i have left as far as r speeds are concerned, then ill mess some stuff up~ ta for feedback~
