  4. no not at all, i think in prey you can use that standard content for a while, same in quake 4 cause in those games custom texture aren´t so important like in source atm. here is brushwork or bizarre architecture important and you can use this exellent with the standard things and models same. i think in 2 years we can talk about custom content depending on what kind of and how much maps are released. in source, too much maps are released with standard texture for example than maps based on d3 engine, so everybody has enough of that standard things in source. so keep on freakman, looks cool

  9. the orange pipes are the blue pipes too, the color changes between blue and a short time to orange. its a scrolling fluid in a ... i would say transparent or glassy pipe - looks really cool ingame because i put some lightshaders too which change the colors around the pipes. the effect are also at the walls, floors aso.
  10. i found some time to continue building my quake 4 map "dm_stoned". the map layout is as far as ready. now i will add some more textures and more details. still lots of work, how you can see pics are from the editor, not ingame

I actually did too; at first I thought some of our textures had found their way over there which was an odd thought... wasn't until I picked up on the hangar caustic shader (the blue orange bit) and the light textures that I caught on. What textures are those, by the way? Your own, or some custom set somewhere? They look really nice. big thx, yes the stone texture are selfmade i have them with different versions, some darker, lighter, with broken effects ect, i use them later when the layout is ready and the gameplay is finished

  16. hey thanx for the nice comments. yes you´re right i should turn on aa and so on, the screensshot would be nicer. and the question to the textures. these are all custom textures i made them myself
  17. hey I released my new and last map for Doom3 Resurrection of Evil. This setting is not typical (i call it timeless, cause of old village and some techstyles) but i think its something other like the lots of techmaps . The builttime was 4 month and you can play this map with up to 8 players. If you haven´t the AddOn R.o.E. you can play this map with normal doom3 too, but only up to 4 player.   18. yeah i didn´t compile the textures in the bsp, you can see all textures in the materials/dm_oldprison folder and big thx for those nice comments I know there are many prison maps for hl² thats why i wanted to make my prison map as good as i can, specially the levelesign and with custom textures
  19. Hey there, i´d like to present my first hl²dm map - called dm_oldprison. I made this map with 98% of custom textures, with many details and its playable with 10 Players.
