Thrik Posted December 15, 2011 Report Posted December 15, 2011 It is designed to have a more real-world theme than the other C&C games, but make no mistake it still features sci-fi elements. Generals was set in the 'near future'; from what I remember the US tended to specialise in laser weaponry, the Chinese in fire weaponry, and the Middle Eastern guys were pretty much as they are today (suicide bombers, jeeps, etc). It wasn't what you could describe as Battlefield 3 as an RTS because it was much more futuristic than BF3. Probably closer to BF3 than BF2142, but still plenty of advanced technology. However unlike the other C&C games it was all handled in a relatively serious way and it didn't have all the live-action cutscenes and shit the other games had. It worked really well and most importantly of all the gameplay was superb. It was also nice getting to blow up things like the Pentagon. Quote

BaRRaKID Posted March 15, 2012 Author Report Posted March 15, 2012 So Tiberium Alliances (the browser based game) just entered the open beta phase. Played it for a couple of minutes and it seems nice so far. It's available here http://alliances.commandandconquer.com/en/ Quote
