REALTIME WORLDS - creators of the no.1 hit game CRACKDOWN, are looking for an Audio Designer to join our team on our next ground breaking title, the online game, APB: www.apb.com

Work with a BAFTA award winning audio team on a high-profile, next generation online game. The role will involve the design and production of quality audio content by recording editing and implementing original sounds.

Responsibilities

  • Recording and creating sounds.
    Editing material from recordings and elsewhere into final in-game assets.
    Implement assets into the game using AudioKinetic's Wwise and custom interfaces based on Unreal Engine 3.
    Tune parameters that affect the sound of the assets in the game.
    Assist with the final mixing of the game.
    Assist the audio lead in determining what audio content will be created.
    Assist the audio lead in designing audio systems for the game.

Qualifications Required

Degree or other qualification in a relevant subject area e.g. Audio Technology.

Experience Required

  • 2+ years relevant experience in an audio content production role.
    Ability to efficiently create convincing sound effects to picture and for interactive playback.
    A high level of technical proficiency and understanding, and the ability to learn new tools quickly.
    High standards of quality and a strong passion for audio content creation.

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 3 or with the Unreal Technology suite.
    Knowledge of game audio systems and games in general.
    Familiarity with programming/scripting languages.
