  1. Hello, I am doing a map for CS2 and I do have some issue. As you can see on the picture, guns, player model and various effect are affected. The map do not have any exterior parts nor a visible sky. The action is strictly indoor. So I do not have a skybox, but the map is contained in a big box with the texture Lightmap Player Space. I do have some env_combined_light_probe_volume covering all walkable area. They do not overlap nor get out of the map. They all have a Voxel Size "High Resolution" and a "normal" priority. It occurs with a Lightmaps Resolution of 2048 or 4096, with compression enabled and a Quality either Standard or Final. The fact is I do not know how to use env_combined_light_probe_volume correctly. I search here and there but I did not find a tutorial about them. So I am experimenting Any help to solve this issue will be very much appreciated Thanks in advance.

  3. I do not get it... Why can it be illegal ? Many map mix stuff from HL, HL EP1, CSS and even Dark Messiah. No one ever complained about it, especially Valve. What's special with EP2 content ?
  4. If you look at the official remakes, "yes" there are some changes but most of them are just cosmetic. There are, sometimes, few modifications to the original gameplay (look at Militia or Assault for instance) but it's never a big change. If you transform completely the bunker part, it won't be cs_siege anymore. Moroes choose to stick mostly to the original layout (and alter it a bit), I do not see anything wrong with that.
  5. Apparently the file soundscapes_manifest.txt and the line you added to it("file" "scripts/soundscapes_forest.txt") has a strange side effect. I hear the de_forest sound-scape in many other maps. If I comment out this line, I get the correct sounds back.
  6. Same thing with the beta. Maybe there is no way to fix this... You have to extend the C4 Timer. With Mani Admin, you can even create a specific CFG file to only extend the C4 timer for this map only.
  7. Hello, Just downloaded and tested it a bit. Very very nice, doesn't look like any other CSS map I know, huge... I'm curious about the gameplay... I noticed this: - My console was full of this kind of messages: SOLID_VPHYSICS static prop with no vphysics model! (models/plants/yukka_001a_large.mdl) - Both yellow areas on the radar are too big. The B especially. - The rock behind the B house are weird. Their shape change when you move toward them. As you are very close, it is very noticeable. - Why can we climb on the roof of house A ? Very frustrating IMHO: we got a ladder and a trap, but no, you can't climb

I am unable to tell why, but it is weird. I do not have this feeling with any other D00ds' maps. The B location is a bit dull, IMHO.
  11. Nice idea... I got another one: why don't they pay me to play on their maps ? I think some mappers are more motivated by starting a totally new work than to spend many tedious hours to fix so many little things on a map on which they spend hours and hours already I do not want to blame the mappers, I only express the feelings I have about so promising unfinished maps.
  12. See no offense, and I do not want to blame you, but this is IMHO one of the issues of DoD:source mapping community... Look at the DoDS maps available @LanManiax, most of them are in beta stage , some of them for ages, and they will probably never be released as final. As a player who like custom maps (and who is unable to make them himself ), I find this very frustrating.
  13. Sans blague ? vaut from the verb valoir which means to worth. This add is for butter replacement. Cook with Vegetaline, it worths the butter. It is as good as... Ok, this is old fashioned, but it is correct.
  14. Nice maps for sure I noticed that all of the DoD maps are in beta stage. Can we expect any final version for them, or these b2 and b3 can be considered as final ?
  15. A very candid question: Is it possible these textures were open source thus usable freely by everyone ? The fact they were in Doom3 doesn't mean they've been created by ID, does it ?
