  1. This looks cool, I never saw this before. When you shoot those robots up in the air, just like Painkiller =) I wish there were more quake-like singleplayer games =( =)
  2. I haven't made a CS level in ages, but I have to agree with Puddy 100%. Use a stopwatch and check your timings, bring in a friend early on just to check the basic layout.

I have been wanting to do a Japanese styled theme for years, and I always thought that I would go for the Moon Dragon look, but then I saw Overwatch and added that I'm kinda exhausted by making dark and moody levels, I felt that this look would be really fun to bring into Q3, do the Empire of the Rising sun some justice (Japanese Castles are getting a bit old now =)) I know Sakura trees don't look like this, but I haven't had time to make a proper texture yet, so I just tinted some old leafs.
  4. I was thinking, should the lasers go beyond or into the pyramid peak? If the latter, maybe add some kind of receiver at the top?
  5. This forum badly needs more people posting more quake things - so just keep it flowing buddy! Edit: I mean, just the fact that we now have a banner image that's featuring quake levels shows the suffering that has been going on around here - for like 15 years.
  6. When I've played through these levels before, the map I liked the most in the end was probably Scampies, it's the red and blue one, bottom left on the screenshot. People that like to play quake1s SP, should really take a look at func_msgboard. I use Quakespasm http://quakespasm.sourceforge.net/
  7. That is the best thing I've seen since I started Quake the first time. It looked exactly like that - and man do I love that old pixelated 3d look that games had.
  8. Thanks guys, we have a name now too. I'll explain the strange name a bit later =) I fixed the powerups also, to something we can actually use w/o getting a letter from iD, I will most likely easter egg in the Quad though. The powerups looks like this and will most likely stay like that, might change the colors so they are more easy to distinguish, but I'm not sure.
  9. I'm not really sure what a rogue like is so, uh maybe? It's an official untitled serious sam game actually.
  10. Ta-da Our new game after hammerwatch, we are actually three people now. The new guy, Krizz made the art, then I built the level in the editor and added some of the powerups in photoshop.
  11. It's much easier converting a tourney to FFA than the reverse, there's also several days left.
  12. You need to set the client to download too, like this cl_allowdownload 1 however, it won't work anyway, cause it says that the server isn't pure, try and set it to sv_pure 1 Johnny
  13. The only thing that I've been thinking about here, is that there aren't any strong light sources, the light feels very flat and grey (because of the grey textures). I always assumed this was before you got to do any lightpass though? I usually do this with sunlight, if I have a sky, but you might not have that?

  16. What version of bspc is that now then, cause I looked now here (didnt have time yesterday) and mine is from 2001. And also, when I'm thinking about it, I think I've heard a while ago, like 2-3 years ago, that it's better to compile with an older one, cause it doesn't cancel out if there are some unnecessary errors. Anyway, glad you got it to work Daniel! Låt glöggen flöda!
  17. Try and compile this w/o your shaderfile and so, see if that works, might be some issue there, remember that I compiled the level w/o any of your (few) shaders, the fog and so.
  18. I have the one that comes in the 1.4 package I assume, or maybe even older. I can't check atm since I'm at work. But this is the radiant I work with, but I moved my bspc to my maps dir 1000 years ago, so whatever radiant I use I will always use the same bspc =/ http://www.zfight.com/misc/files/q3/GtkRadiantSetup-1.4.0-Q3RTCWET.exe
  19. Maybe it's the bspc version that's different, but I don't know why that would matter, if anything, mine is tons of years older.

  21. It looks like it doesn't run at all so, I'm guessing that's because it can't find the map or something.
  22. Try and do what I do, place bspc.exe inside your /maps folder instead and take it from there, use a line like mine, well, use my line and see if that works =)
  23. What's the deal with this SciFi deluxe shit. I mean, ok, Dinos and DNA-flies, but it ends there, no need to do rolling glass spheres and so.
  24. I didn't like the trailer at all - it's like a mockery. Maybe the second or third trailer will be better =)
  25. Hmm, I had no issues compiling and playing the level with bots bspc.exe -bsp2aas dmdn.bsp -forcesidesvisible -optimize
