MrTrane18 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago I found this map called Bridges 2.0 ( On Steam Workshop ), which seems to be an map from Warface project. Nexside seems to have gotten the map inside our beloved Source 2 world. And we can all enjoy it. Ngl, I personally already felt like that map belongs to some kind of stand alone FPS shooter with it's own story line and cinematics, haha! Did a bit deeper search about, and, I am impresed, how the map keeps the original look while having that Counter-Strike 2, vibe. Nostalgic map, eager to see where the road takes it! According to the author, the goal was to preserve the original experience as closely as possible with a 1:1 recreation of the geometry while rebuilding the lighting and shadows using Source 2 technology. After spending some time exploring the map, it's clear that a lot of effort went into preserving the original layout and atmosphere. The map feels surprisingly natural inside Counter-Strike 2, and it was interesting to see a classic Warface battleground recreated with modern visuals. I recorded a Showcase video for anyone interested in seeing the map before downloading it. One thing I appreciate about projects like this is the preservation aspect. There are many memorable multiplayer maps from older games that players rarely get the chance to revisit. Seeing Bridges recreated in CS2 gives both returning Warface players and newer Counter-Strike players an opportunity to experience the map in a completely different engine. The Source 2 lighting helps modernize the environment while still maintaining the overall identity of the original design. Hope you enjoyed the showcase video, eager to learn how to show you guys the maps, we have out there on workshop. Going to search more maps on workshop, to make the showcase videos, let me know how you liked this one, or if it is even worth to capture more and post it like this. Quote
