oh shit, i am down to play this.is the beta available in linux flavor?

Unfortunately they seem to be out of beta keys, so we'll probably have to wait for the demo to be release. n__n But I suppose the demo and full version'll be available for both mac and linux... or atleast I believe it'll be released for those two things...

There are a few games out on the market today which have built-in functions, checking your computer specifications and adjusting / deactivating / activating / "locking" some settings depending on how powerful computer you've got. (Which you all probably know already ) Perhaps it's the same with ETQW... or the developers just tweaked the .cfg as for the beta or something as I (think) mentioned earlier.

Found a guy who'd posted truck loads with screenshots from the ETQW beta at the IGN forums. (Err... well I think it was the IGN forums...) ^__^

Just thought I'ld add them here if there's still someone left out there who's hungry for in-game screenshots. Prr!

I was very surprised to discover that the guy actually really exist, and i'm still wondering why the heck did they make a Videogame about him !!!

Perhaps the developers were bored and saw him walking on the sidewalk and thought that some guy with an überish mustasch, blowing peoples brains out is exactly what the gamers need...:F Hope it turns out better than the second SoF... liked the first one but Double Helix was a rather huge disapointment to me. ;F

e-freak: I've seen the remake of it that's in color, haven't seen the original movie though, but I liked the version I saw. :F And yes, Saving Private Ryan's a great movie. ^___^ Was quite some time since I saw it so I just remember parts of it but it's worth watching.

Well, the ID tech4 SHOULD be able to render better quality of details, textures and models aswell as special effects than what's beeing observed in the beta. But then let's remember the word B-E-T-A... Not saying the game's far from completion, as it seems to be quite close to the full games release. But let's just keep that word in our minds, I'm quite sure with the technology they have they'll add some eye-candy.

I've read on alot of forums people complaining "omg lolz, plz, it's much crappier than BF2 omg lololololo, this supposed to be the game which rox BF2's ass?" .... but... what are they talking about? I've seen none of the developers even mentioning BF2 in any interview or devdiary or whatever there might be. Only thing they talk about is Wolf: ET thingies... makes me so confused from where the BF2 players've got their rumors from. >.

I think there's a possability there will be problems trying to compile your code with the 2003 version. I'm not completly sure but that's my guess. However I think there says something about it in the HL2 coding wiki and that there are fixes to download to the SDK. But try before you start searching, I might be misstaken and it's unecessary for you to search fixes which don't actually exist. ;P

For d3 you use d3radiant and for q4 you use q4radiant. Simply open the console while in the main menu of the desired game and type "editor" (without the " symbols) and the editor will launch. :F <3

If you're going to put together a mappack and feel sorry for those maps who won't be included, atleast don't give any tears to me. My map is indeed-- ahem-- messed up quite extremely.

It was fun working on the map and I learned a few new things throughou the process so I'm happy in any case.

I think that game might be worth to try. Looks good, but who knows what it'll be like in-game? :F

I prefer strategy-games like Blitzkrieg though. :F (Btw, anyone know when this might be released?)

especially when the people here are aiming at working proffesionally in the industry.

With me as an exception. Studying to become a construction worker, and I prefer drawing before mapping. Mapping's just a hobby to me.

:\ Dunno if I'm able to vote, as I've stated earlier I haven't had enough time to test all the maps but if I should vote on someones map which I've tested I'ld say Reno's map'ld get the top score for visuals. ;P The lightning on the map is wunderbar. And I'm not sure. I kind of liked Postoffice, it was one of the few maps I tried with other players actually. :F
