  1. Hi all, heres my first ever model (Still a WIP), it's a Tie Interceptor from Star Wars obviously. I've been learning maya for about 4 weeks now and that took me roughly 3 hrs to make. Any Crit welcome, obviously I'm missing some more laser cannons and other details which will come later on
  2. I think you should slighty remove some depth from the missing pieces of paper. It looks more like the wallpaper is around 3-4 millimeters thick and that when it's come off it's letting you see a big fat edge. My 2 Cents BTW Loving it other then what I pointed out.
  3. *Blushes* Thanks again mate. /me goes back to learning more
  4. Coming from you thats a damn fine compliment. Considering the first texture I ever posted in here was crap I think getting a compliment like that means something has sunk into my thick cranium.
  5. Still fiddling around with the painted effect on walls, here's a bunker wall with a bottom painted section.
  6. I used/tried most of that already which was the inspiration for my attempts It's a nice tut btw @Mino, I think the main problem with this texture is that I overlaid a rust texture and it made the whole texture even rougher then it already was. Here it is without the rust And here it is without the highpass filter So as you can see I might of over done it on somethings with the actual texture.
  7. I've been fiddling with painted sufaces on things such as concrete and plaster walls. Anyway I managed to come up with this one
  8. WOW, just WOW, thats a thing of beauty Very nice work, if I could ever produce something like that I'd be very very happy with my skills
  9. What is the mapping program like in terms of usage? Easy to learn? Hard etc? Is it comparable to hammer, or unrealed etc? the reason I ask this is some of us that maybe thinking of applying for a job such as this maynot be familar with the tools needed to complete the project and may want to learn it quickly in order to apply etc.
  10. I'm pretty new to using photoshop (about a months worth of experience now) and have decided I'm going to try and texture the dod map I'm currently making (The map is a remake of dod_heutau I've named my version dod_hachau) so I went and found some german building pictures on the net and found that there is quite a number of buildings using the faithful old halftimber styled walls and well there was my insperation for my first true attempt at finishing a texture to put ingame. Anyway I'd like some C&C on the texture, one thing I am going to change is the way the wood grain is I'm going to rotate some of the 'beams' so it's abit different. Anyway enough talk here's the texture and it's bumpmap
  11. Very nice screenshots, I'm impressed. Are those trees customs or from EP1? If not when can we lay our hands on them? I'd also like to help test Specs AMD 64bit 3599+ CPU 1024mb DDR400 Geforce EN7600GT
  12. been fiddling with making my own brushes, thought I'd try a grunge and crack brush I'd made on this stucco. I'd like some C&C on this thanks.
  13. Also we have an IRC channel up and running, it's #texturehub on gamesurge, please feel free to drop by and idle etc.
  14. Good to see some more interest in texturehub, i'm going to be helping spine out around the 'hub' as a general lackey and toy boy
  15. Thanks for the crit guys, I'm still learning how to do things and playing with tools etc in CS3. @ Hessi, hurry up with the German photo release mate hehe
