that's nice
without having seen any of the flowgraph powering this I'm going to say this is probably one of the coolest examples what you can achieve with it!i guess the gun is done with a particle emitter? can you go into a few details how those assets work and how your script is setup?

Try a different studio first - the games industry is a vastly different place depending which studio you are in
Don't give up just yet!

I was working as a contractual the last 5 months and, yes working alone at home is very difficult but after two months I found my marks and I really enjoyed living with my closest friends.
the game industry is full of some of the nicest and "like-mindedest" people, and in any onsite job you will find lots of new friends and meet lots of great people. don't stay in one place because you're afraid to lose all social life or contact to old friends. when you come back there, they will still be there and in the mean time you have internet and telephone to keep in touch.

parallax occlusion mapping (THE crysis 1 effect)

sad to hear about PoNH
Congrats on the new job none the less, being a proper games-industry insider in a Venture Capital you can at least support other indies now

the simple fact that they went to great lengths to rerecord this stuff deserves an award. even more so with actors that don't sound like they are 13 and on their laptop's microphone. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and guess that most dialog will sound good enough and they know what they are doing. keep in mind, this trailer isn't even an official release but a "leak" of some sorts.

I hope you have a blast there and in the meantime I'm gonna keep your room nice and clean
.haha
Its like my flat turns into Mapcoria and I'm the only one missing
Quote from NysuatroSame position? Congratz mate

Yeah, well same position in theory, work might differ a bit though from my usual day-to-day work in Frankfurt as dependencies and everything is completely shifted (for starters, the 9-hour time delay makes direct communication during work hours pretty hard). I hope I can go more into details once I'm there.

I'm still with Crytek but I'll be working out of Los Angeles for the next three months (I'm my own Crytek Office now

cmon people. the lines have been in the original as well (although with distortion on) and while its clearly not the strongest voice/sound design its still pretty uber for a fan mod!
