I'm making a Star Trek: TOS Phaser to replace the Zeus Taser in CS:GO. Here's the finished low poly. I'm working on the High poly still at the moment. Any CC's?

Not a hurdsurface guy - but it's much more easy to make HP and then LP ?

I tried that a few times and honestly it was easier to make the LP and then add loops and extra details for the HP and then bake rather than having to dick around removing all the support loops.

Update on the low poly. I've finished the High poly version also, so I'll post some pics when I get to baking.

Depends from person to person and model to model. Sometimes i even model something in the middle, then take it up and down from there. I confuse myself a lot.

at the first look the wires looks ok, but when you turbosmooth it, you will loose the effect couse you didnt use any support edges

Wouldn't the triangles (clusterfuck) cause trouble later on when adding extra edgeloops for the turbosmooth?

Hmm. Looks kinda cool but looks more like a garbage dump or a scrap yard or something rather than cliffs.

Something I'm doing for the polycount-escape-contest. I'm mainly using the portage-theatre in chicago as a reference, but won't stick completely to it so I have a little bit of creative freedom.
