Any Suggestions for the color scheme?
I have no idea how the colors should look like but i wanted to keep it in the style of nod.

Seems you're not the only one doing the imperial boy scene surgeon ![]()
From some dude on 4chan, friend linked to it tonight:
and the next thing, only the mesh but it is modular ![]()

you hotlinked to an image on 4chan ![]()
that is doubly retarded and you should feel ashamed.
anyway, that is a collab project on /3/, the 3d board, it's been going on since about march 2010, i contributed the metal roofed thing on the left of the image during a lunch break at crytek. i even set the arbritrary polycount and mesh guidelines.
4chan superstar.
OMG I finally found some time to work on it. Started yesterday, still modifying lots of stuff. Details are based on M96 rifle some others that I've downloaded and forgotten the name ![]()

oh wow can't wait to see this one
@ Seir, cool man! ![]()
But I would vary the the sizes a bit like you see in the "ref", as you can see it's not a straight line like you have modeled now. Bah, I'm bad at explaining stuff like this. Like if you see the ref from the side, the barrel sticks out a bit... That makes the shape nice.
Anyhow, keep it up! ![]()
At the first time I've made it like on the "reference" but some proportions and dimensions was too unnatural so I've found this reference and I wanna do that in straight line so it will look like a train

But as you said about the barrel - yep, I'll make it bigger, that shape is the main part of the gun, very characteristic so I can't leave it like that. Will do. Now I'm making ammo clip ![]()
go go go 0rthopaedicsurgeon that looks like the start of a killer scene !
Clip ready. I have some ideas for more details but I'll model it later, now it's time to finish the gun!

looking good, while doing the rest of the gun, put some more details on it, now the clip/mag is too deteailed comparing to rest imo ![]()
I've spend some time to make it better, but still i have feeling that smth is wrong, some tips guys ?

knj, I'd love to hear your workflow on that thing. How did you started?
Not much to say
Basically, there are 2 cylinders connected, a cube on top, and cylinder as a column. I've started with half of one cylinder, i've cut faces to make details, extruded a connection and mirror it to get the shape of a capital (top part). Next i've moved down to make the detailes below and make all the other details
The column itself is really a cylinder with some cuts in it. Hope it is clear, i assume it is looking ok ?
Yeah man, that's a pretty cool high poly!
I made a short animation of the sunset in 3ds max. It took around 3 hrs to render 150 frames.
