My only complaint for now is that it's already difficult to see someone in INS2 so this lighting looks a bit too hard to read.

I dig this a lot but I would definitely raise the sun's height in the sky. Just a little though so you can keep the sunrise/set colors.

I just played it on the NWI Playtest Server. The map is really good looking, but unfortunately my ping was too damn high, so i quitted quickly. But you did a good job as far as i saw it

So Kandagal got 5th place. I would be lying if i said i was happy where i placed, but i honestly just feel a little disappointed. Oh well! I've actually been waiting for the contest to end so i could update my map to some of the problems i saw during the testing.
I still need to compile it (8 HOURS for the final) but here is the change log:
-Fixed Random Spawning at D in skirmish
-Made Push A smaller (D in Skirmish).
-Made wall by Push A taller
-Improved INS first spawn on push
-Moved the building in push b more closer to ins spawn (just about 256 units)
-Added More cover in the field for Ins
-Made Push B and Push C smaller
: B encompasses the building by the field
: C encompasses the Destroyed Helo
-Fixed some clip issues (the Humvee by ins push spawn)
-Fixed Displacement seams
-Added Ins_foliage to the bush's/ reeds
-Added Block_los to the Trees (this blocks the bots view so they won't try to shoot you through the trees)

Don't let it discourage you. There was tough competition and the scores were close. Was definitely one of the best looking maps in the contest imo. I like the organic flow of the layout in your map particularly.

I've got some good new. I got contacted by the developers of insurgency. They are gonna make Kandagal an offical map! (they said i could tell people and i wanted to tell you guys!) Thank you guys so much for all the support. seriously this is the best community.

Love it. Love seeing a map go all the way from pen on paper to blockout to detail to balance to getting included in the game. Top notch thread, top notch map. Glorious work.
