    rotfl Warby, nice!

I had to do the same not so long ago, get old games you worked on, and start taking screenshots!

I did some more work on the map this morning. im impressed with myself doing all this mapping, i typically get really distracted, i guess its just a matter of time. a far as the map goes i think i may have some scaling issues. i went through it this morning and moved bits around to make things align to the grid better so it should be easier to texture, but i think i may end up with some giant ass buildings that will be really hard to rebuild scaled down. this is combined with the fact that a majority of the island is going to have to be built at an angle and i lack reference images for basically everything not currently mapped or facing the water. but what the hell, its a cool project that hopefully i can see through.

Here's a little promo piece I've been posting on some TF2 related forums, I messed around with using Tilt Shifting on some TF2 stuff and I think it turns out ok, albeit a bit small in this particular shot

It's an effect you can achieve using Photoshop. Linky.

Love the promo. It's very awesome.

I haven't looked into it but I wouldn't be surprised if it was possible in TF2. Gary's Mod supports dof ingame. It uses a simple interface to select the focal point distance.

Yep, psycho linked to the tutorial I used. I recorded a playtest with SourceTV and went back and took some SS's from angles I really liked - they turned out much better than the ones I could get whilst playing myself. The tilt shift works best when there's combat going on, my favourite is the first one in that shot compilation

my website is in a big work in progress state right now one of the things i want to change is all the screenshots of my old hl1 engine maps:prepare for more disgusting old schoolness than you can possible shake a stick at:

i selectively adjusted the contrast and gave em all a 50% sharpen and lots of down sampling

i can tell you one thing getting the pod bots to pose for these screenshots was a bitch those guys are twitchy knife loving morons

yeah yeah yeah oldschool work refreshments teh_win that was a great time eh?

on my portfolio i made new screenshots for my old cs maps too - with a 1680x794px resolution (damn ingame ads in cs 1.6 )
