I can create an updated version, but it won't be until at least this weekend. If you need to release the pack before then, please feel fee to use my contest submission.

Very impressive map Flipout

I've been wanting to check it out for so long--glad I finally had a chance. I actually didn't play a match on this because I was too busy looking around at all of the cool architecture. You really have a great sense of space and you use all of it well.
Now I just need to get off my butt and learn how to UV map

This is a fun map fKd!
I absolutely love your mapping style. I'm not sure I'm in love with the brick you used, but it gave an overall cool atmosphere anyway, especially with your lighting. Extreme vertical fighting is not quite my cup of tea, but I don't ever seem to mind it much in your maps. The placement of the megahealth is very cool

Great job on this map brother!

Finally had a chance to check this out.
Great layout! This map has great flow and really cool fighting spaces! In fact, of all the maps I checked out it was the only one I finished an entire match on.
Great architecture and a neat theme to. I love those gold leaves scattered everywhere

Talk about stressful, but fun as hell. Seems I can't build a map nowadays without some kind of impending deadline

Great work on the contest Sprony!. I have organized a few contests for work before and I have to say you did an impressive job. Very well organized and thought out. Thumbs up!
Good luck to everyone. I can't wait to check out these maps

-
Well crud, guess I will have to use my release candidate for my entry then.
Good catch Pat! Thanks a ton for looking at this. I will finally have time to check out the other entries tonight. I can't wait to check out yours!

Edited: Changed the download link due to a technical problem. Please use the file phantq3dm6_rc.zip for my entry

Edit 2: Realized I forgot my map file.
Here is the link to that: http://www.phantazm11.com/content/downlo…3dm6_rc.map.zip -
Well, this is going to have to be my final submission:
http://www.phantazm11.com/content/downlo…dm6_mapcore.zip
I lowered the trigger_hurt into the pit somewhat, making it more realistic when you get slaughtered, fixed the clipping at the pipes (it may be a little high now, but at least you don't get stuck), autoclipped the rest of the rock faces, reduced the size of a few textures, and optimized the map just a bit more.
If anyone has the time, could you please check the download and make sure everything looks kosher?
Good luck to everyone!!

Conrad: do you know the exact errors it is giving you?
-
Thanks a lot for the feedback guys!
I wish I had time to fix some of the things mentioned. I've been thinking about a few of them for a while now (better skybox, fancy effects for the furnace/energy pit) but I have simply run out of time

It is funny, Pat, how you said it was in such a short time... ever since I finished the layout I've been putting in 3.5-4 hours every night after work and around 16+ hours each weekend. To me it felt MUCH longer and I'm really glad it is almost over. I'm kind of exhausted. I know my wife will be glad to have her husband back!
I will see what I can do about the clipping issue and the shoot-through rocks. And maybe I will try a few things concerning the pit, thought I'm afraid I might have to leave it for a post-contest release.
Thanks again for checking it out. Hopefully I will be able to load my final tonight.

Man, this has been a long haul. I am wrapping things up Pat, and I have to say that I'm finally glad to be at this end of the contest for sure. After a bout of stomach flu that kept me up most of last night, I finally finished almost everything that needed to be finished tonight. Just a few more little things I want to fix up tomorrow before I upload a version to test. The download will be around 50 mb

Until then, here is a screenshot:

That ivy looks like it needs an alpha channel
-
Awesome! Glad you got it to work

-
I can upload it when I get home this evening.
-
I wish I had time to check this out...looks fantastic. I guess in a week I will have plenty of time

If I haven't said this before, I love your style fKd.

I had this exact error...I had never seen it before this contest. I was using the bspc that was bundled with q3map2_fs. Switched to the one bundled with Radiant 1.4 and it solved my problem.
