i remember seeing a talk from the zynga CEO, and i remember him being extremely unscrupulous and shady about how to run his business, how to use ideas etc., so yeah this does not surprise me at all.

I'm near the end of yet another replay of Call of Pripyat, this time with the "Misery" mod. The mod changes how combat works so, basically, everything dies far quicker (including the PC), but ammo's like Metro 2033 levels of rare. You can actually kill a boar with a pistol if you start shooting early, but if it gets close enough to gore you you ain't making it back to skadovsk. This has the side effect of making the hamster rat enemies the single most dangerous threat in the entire game. You can't really get below "one shot and you're dead" weakness, which they already had, but now they'll bite you for like 1/3 your health and they swarm in packs of about a dozen typically, and when they surround you you can't get away, and just get your feet nibbled to death in a second. It's very frightening.
so much for realism

hi Italsege ... you are walking through a desert. You look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling toward you... You reach down and you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.

Yeah its called Stalker. Its so weird how similar the book and film are to the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, bearing in mind both we're released years prior. One thing I'm not sure I liked or not about the book, was that so much was left unexplained. Like the thing that can only be described as a sort of giant monstrous shadow that nearly kills them in the book when they're going through the zone on that weird vehicle. Nothing is explained of that 'thing' after that, the same goes for what I guessed to be 'Zombies', some explaining was done on the zombies but not enough to feed my curiosity. The part with the zombie was probably one of my favourite parts of the book, so creepy, I kept re-reading it.
hm, i don't remember the giant shadow... and by zombies you mean the people that just came from the zone? by far the most interesting part of the book was the final journey into the zone... for other reasons.

inside the forum it marks everything as read; it is only in the overview of the forums (all subforums) it doesn't.
