Also, the imported dxf model will have tons of excess faces so make sure to get rid of those.

As long as the first amendment still exists, so will "violent/obscene" video games.
Sorry Mr. Thompson, but its not up to you to decide what this country should or shouldent have, plus instead of blaming parents who let their kids play this, he just puts the blame on the companies who make the games for adults.

I dont know what it was called but it was some sort of subwoofer you strapped onto your chest to "feel the punch" of games. It was for the SNES or PS1, I think.

If I valued your opinion, I might just change it

You know Vivi, you might want to wait a few months before flashing the Gearbox logo everywhere.. Seems a bit disrespectful to use it right when you get hired, as it seems more of a thing to "earn".

Loved that alien-slave jump at the start of Unforseen Consequences

I dont think thats the latest version of HL1, though. Some stuff was a bit strange, like how the scientists mouths didnt move and how there was an ammo count (0 | 0) before he even got a weapon.

I wouldent count on hostages getting up ladders, as im pretty sure theyll end up sitting at the bottom for a few seconds trying to figure out what to do, then eventually theyll sort of.. "jump for it", but wont always get to the top. Most likely the player would have lost them. Im not 100% sure on this but last time I checked they couldent get up a 2 floor ladder at all.

Reminds me of a theme park with all the strange architecture. Looks awesome, though, so maybe all the variation is a good thing.

I dont think selling M rated games to kids is the problem. It seems more like a scapegoat for bad parenting than anything. I grew up with violent games, hell I even had a really rare cd of ThrillKill (purchased overseas), and I didnt murder, rape, carjack etc anyone.
If parents would do their job better, kids wouldent turn into criminals, and maybe this whole BS against videogames will finally calm down.
Ultimately it should be up to the parent to judge what their kids play, not the government/state.
But yea, "Land of the Free" is pretty much a lie thanks to a few of the rediculous laws that have come up lately.

Argh! HDR!

Looks good from the shots, albet pretty heavy with the HDR. Looks like theres too much fog for the skybox aswell, but im not sure if its fog itself, or a combination of fog and HDR.

Cool stuff, but im not liking the multicolored building.

Replace the tree shadows with the Militia tree-shadow overlays and turn down the lightmapscale to get crisper shadows. Might want to increase the ambient lighting to get rid of such harsh shadows, aswell.
Looks awesome so far.

Got the demo earlier this morning. I'll be buying the full version

Its worse than HL1DM, though. Big disappointment

Turok for N64 kicked major ass. Tons of replayability and cheats made it great.

Oh man, hahahah

Dead Rising was really fun stuff. Just felt awesome.
MGS4 was cool (as expected of course), and Crysis was aswell. The FPS for Crysis was horrible in the jungle level but the carrier level was great. Sucks they were running it in DX9.
