I'm no expert, but the gun looks a tad on the inaccurate side. Also, it's extremely thin.

Well, in my opinion alot of talent comes from observation. Just know what material you're trying to paint, how old that material is, what it's been through, who owns it, etc. Once you do that, you'll know exactly how to weather and detail a model.

maybe emphasize a dent on the hood like someone fell on it in death? otherwise awesome

Actually, someone got on it and tried punching through the windshield.

There's also some bloodstains on the window, as well as dried blood on the seats. Thanks again everyone for the input

As before stated, my settings aren't that high as of now because my computer is somewhat lacking updates. The texture itself is one 1024 map, so as long as your settings are higher things will look fine.

Hey all, another model I've done. There's several versions, the taxi, the police cruiser, and the civi versions of the FCV. Finished texturing, slapped on a spec map and voila. This texture, however, is mod specific only, so mind the extra "details" added. The first 2 shots are in HLMV, and the settings of my comp are kinda on low, so the textures look kinda iffy. The final shot shows detail on the windshield and what not, but that shot was done before the texture was finished.

The armor is going to adjusted to having dirt, fading, slight rusting, etc. I haven't been able to do much on it as of these last few days but I'll probably be having him finished within the next day or two.

personally, I think tribal tatoos are real lame, in game and when i see someone with one. I would use somekind of logo, or a non-generic tattoo.

Well, if you played Fallout you'd know that there actually were tribals in the game

He's around 4600 polies. Not too shabby, since the combine models are around that range.

You gonna animate him too, or are you just pro at modeling?

Well, I already have him rigged. I don't know if I'll do custom anims for him, but if I get bored I just very well might.

For the most part, it's done. I still need to do the hands, holster, and pouches. I need to fix a few parts, like the leather band attaching the kneepads. Also, the arm is looking wierd, not only in texture but in layout. It looks too naked, so I'm contemplating adding shoulder armour.

Dark: I actually happen to be good friends w/ their character modeller, neo Genesis

Yeah, I was gonna do some sort of Tribal tatoo on his head and arms most likely. See, this is my take on a character inspired from the Fallout series. he's just one of the local tribals gone mercenary

Hey everyone. I'm brand new to these forums, so I thought I'd give some shots of a character model I'm working on. Currently he has no home, so it will probably be just portfolio work, but who knows. The polycount stands at 4602. Texture is the only thing that needs to be finished, already rigged and what not.
