huzzah.
the red turtle shell belongs at number one all you noob sauces.
something deletable.
as far as the sewer goes...
couldn't you find a clever way to make the entraces and exits ramps instead of ladders?
that way its the best of both worlds.
also (and this is a weird suggestion that I"m surprised nobody ever did.) It would be cool to add sewer grates every 30 feet or so- so if the ct's were using the sewer the t's could see them and try to run after them. Just a neat little addition.
Anyway, cool work so far, lighting needs love.
ps. it IS blue outside at night depending on the time of year and how much light the moon is reflecting because whereas the suns light is not blue, a lot of stars are. This is also acceptable in more than just half life maps (most games, including bia although ours is a bit purple) such as most movies, tv, and such. It's helpful for portraying contrast where it's difficult to get it.
Quote from The PostmanDisplay MoreGearbox got CS:CZ yanked from it in a bit of unfairness that resulted from Valve not paying attention to the development of the game.
It went like this:
"Awesome game, guys!"
"Awesome game, guys!'
"Awesome game, guys!"
"Awesome game, guys!'
"Awesome game, guys!"
"Awesome game, guys!'
"Awesome game, guys!"
"Awesome game, guys!'
"Oh wait this isn't what we wanted at all. Sorry, we're giving it to another company! Ciao!"
Hahahahaha.
yeah...
fuck.
Quote from ZackerA little offtopic but yeah I would actually also like to know what actually happened back in those days? The once so fine relations were suddenly cut off completely.
There's nothing wrong at all actually. We still talk to them a lot but really Gearbox isn't about making expansion packs anymore. We have a AAA franchise off and running with more on the way.
we are all ![]()
Remember when you could believe what you wanted and it would offend people but that was okay? Like, when people understood that being offended was an unfightable part of life and it helped you grow as a person by learning to not sweat the small stuff... and you didn't expect money in reperation for when someone put a star of David on their lunchbox and you couldn't handle it. I should sue all people that get offended, because that offends me that they allowed themselves to be offended.
We played it today at gamtime with a good 4 on 4 and I must say the visuals in this map are at a good halfway point and agree those need work.
what i wasn't prepared for is the gameplay... the area around the bomb site is really... man it's hard to describe. I got the same feeling i played maps like assault, militia, train, cobble for the first time. It just has really well designed and easy to get the hang of gameplay. It really was insanity
anyway, i'm gushy.... i'll let the map speak for itself when he releases a beta so ya'll dont think i'm shooting the shit for no reason.
It's not a commute bic, it's a relocation.
If you are selected we put you up in an apartment for the duration of your contract... and you can watch movies at my house or something.

you live in plano squirrely?
It's not intern or offsite.
It's a paid, on site, contract position for a set number of months. At the end of the period if you're good enough (which is likely) we offer you a job.
Cogs just just means "Contractors of Gearbox"
The percentage of people that go through this program that become full time at Gearbox is over 50%. The percentage that get jobs elsewhere in the industry is 90%.
So it's a good deal either way.
So children of mapcore. I am here to begin scouting for Gearbox Cogs to work on BiA Hell's Highway as level designer and texture art contractors with the oppurtunity to go full time. We are a licensee of Unreal 3 technology so you'd also have the oppurtunity to play with newer and prettier toys than the rest of the children.

Quote from generalvivithey could just name it hl2: nuclear dawn eps1
OH SNAP!
It's a sequel to HL2:Ep1
I call it "The return of the characters from Half Life Two Episode One to exact revenge on the Combine and other such miscreants the likes of which the world has vaguely known: Episode 1"
Catchy huh?
I think the ESRB should make the distinction that all Gamers should play Brothers in Arms.
I kid.
