Changed the texture a bit and made a lift2 one:
The borders of the caution box are little b0rked, might fix that later :-?

Yep, I noticed that on a lot of textures in this thread with paint on it, the paint often looks like watercolors. It seems as if most of you just copy the color layer onto the structure layer which makes the structure look through too much.
Just think that those surfaces are varnished with full opacity and underlying structures would only shine through with their bumps but not with colors or contrast, the only place where an underlying material is fully visible is where the color peels off.

also I would not reccomend using the original texture at all in the new ones, I keep seeing some with the original scaled up and overlayed in the new one. Makes it look blurry still.

They look ok except for the first one, which needs a lot of work. The fifties wall looks odd with that pattern in the middle too. The last one's the best but it doesn't really resemble the original very well. Good efforts though, HL textures are pretty hard to recreate..
I'll have a go at a sign tomorrow sometime.. promise.

Clayman i like your textures, solid work. However i have some chritics:
1st texture looks great! But the 1 unit black line looks way out of place.
2nd: nice rusty metal but the srews are too big
3rd: keep in mind that HL found place in a research facility not in a mansion/house. The wall look alittle too house like,
Same goes for texture 4. Seems like a concrete wall that belongs to a facility or factory
