    right. it doubles the polies in your scene as well as being semi expensive in it's own right from all the refraction.

    i dont really see what people r whining about

    i mean, yeah, it doesnt really look great, but it looks alot better imo

    but i guess its because its hl2, and its hip to bash hl2 atm

    Supposedly you can turn the water effect off to varying degree's - not reflect entities or worldspawn, or just turn it into a Quake 3 style one.

    nothing can touch the water in farcry......i sware someone could make a map of nothing but water and a boat and i would spend hours on it
