    Sounds like a plan Rick.

FMPONE: Yes it's my first. Glad you like it. Sadly, time didn't allow me to get more in depth about all the possibilitys source offers but it's been a nice excursion.

We should just have regular mapcore deathmatch outings, so we can play each other's maps.

Only problem is HL2DM is sucky shit with a topping of crap.

Not had much time to look at this over the last couple of weeks as I am in the middle of trying to buy a house.

However I just wanted to say to that the quality of work being shown off here is excellent, grats to all who submitted, I look forwards to getting to play them all sometime soon

Reno's subtle use of HDR = Win.

that page doesn't mention hl2dm specific and I tough HL2 and HL2dm still didn't support hdr.

I think I even compiled my map with hdr once to make sure

So as far as I'm concerned we'll start voting on Monday? Gives you the weekend to playtest.

Yeah, voting will start monday (as far as I've heard from rick_d). I'm not too sure where the votes will be posted, but I'm guessing this thread. There has also been a suggestion to remake the voting system, so rather than giving out your vote, there are a number of categories on scales from 1-5 that people can use. I think rick_d can elaborate here.

One thing I noticed from playing through all the maps is that people have been cramming lots of shit into a small space in the hope that it'll play well - the problem is that it doesn't. Lots of ladders and stairs and narrow corridors are not working for such a small space.Anyway, has anyone decided on a voting system? We were talking about what they should be judged on during the playtest and came up with a few categories, to be marked out of 5.

Gameplay/Execution/Use of Space - how the game plays, the deisgn/flow, and how well they utilised the small space.

Visuals - How pretty it all is.

Theme/Design/Originality - The way the standard content was used to create something different to the other maps, the overall intricacies of the level.

Performance - how well it performed on your PC, this will obviously differ wildly, but if a map has a good performance rating on all types of systems then you know the mapper has done something good. Also some of the maps are just plain laggy.
