Wait a minute... Högsätra! Haha I take it that it is your own neighbourhood and apartment you are replicating?

    Hello Nexus

Inside of the house looks good, outside shot seems to be taken from an angle where you are hiding alot of stuff?

I think it looks really good - really starting to capture that rough 'n' ready apartment feel inside. Outside also looks really warm and clamy - almost like a european country. Spotlights are a bit bright, could do with more decals (peeling wallpaper etc.) and the walls are a bit thin - other than that tho, great stuff!

nice work sofar, walls are way to thin, standard is 32 units most of the time .. some might say 16 units

    32?

    16?!

I think 8 is by far the most suitable thickness for indoor walls..

Nah I'd go with 16 units wide..keep in mind that there are supports inside wall that need to be able to take a little weight..

Map looks good I think, but the textures are a bit ugly tbh. Too photorealistic as people have said before. Other than that, superb!

Nice effort but I agree about the textures, especially the windows Keep at it though!

Still, they are unreasticly thin in this map.

The gemoetry looks brilliant, but the lighting lets it down. It's very bland and monotone, alter the pitch so that one of the sides casts a shadow or something to break the lighting up.

Dude, seriously. Sharpening pics up is sooo 1999. It makes the pic look twice as horrible.

I agree with minos. The map itself is looking pretty good but that sharpen filter makes the screen shot look like pure shit.

    bwahaha. best one ever!

    i agree with mino.

and i sadly have to notice that you didnt change the windows yet. give them a proper specmap and remove those reflections that are in your colormap.

No more filters and only 100 % ingame footage ..

    so here is the update:

    you will be able to

    • blow up the house..
      blow up the store...
      play in the playground
      playin' in the woods
      running down the basement
      crawling inside vents
      walking outside on balcony
      walking inside building
      using elevators
      walking on the roof
      smashing windows, breaking glass
blowing gas cans till they Xplodes
atmoshperic ambient generic sounds for your ears
      walking long distances
      swinging on ropes
      playin soccer
      jumping down the building
      no lagg, high performance
      custom textures
      custom models

this may be the sickest map I have ever designed before.

    THE COMPLETE SUBURB-BLOCK-HOODY-HOOD MAP EVER.

now... so far the work I have done.

    And to add the following:

    I still learn Hammer editor.

There are a few lighting errors, specially on that curb next to the small house. And why are some lamps on when it's day time ? Get rid of that huge point_spotlight in the background.

this would look even more sexier with a very cool dusk or dawn sky :]

then you could use more of those lamps and get a more uneven lighting
