Quake 4 Map Pack work

Lunaran's Tremors info and shots are up, you can see some of the base work now:
-
Those rocks are so fckn awesome both geometry and texture wise.
-
Argh, just got started with Radiant, second day using it and I question myself why my maps don't look like that?

Stop making me want to give up... :>
Your maps are so damn good that you feel there is no point making maps when yours just pwn whatever you make!
-
It's not like I turned these out in two days.
Every map shown here took a long time to put together and went through multiple revisions and drastic changes. And all of that after spending a year and a half working on the game itself. You wouldn't want to see what I usually end up with after two days, especially my first two days with the editor after I got hired. It all takes time... Keep pushing at it; you'll get there.

Don't sell yourself short mate, even with all the ramp up and experience with the tools it's still fabulous work.
-
The last image looks ace texture wise. Is this Q4 default textures or is it a pack possible to obtain?
-
Everything that wasn't stock content originally is stock content now.
Just patch the game up and you'll be good to go. -
I think i am going to buy Quake 4, hehe
-
Yeah, it's been on my list for a while now but I've still to get around to getting it. Then again, HL2:Ep1 and Sin:Ep1 have been on my computer for a while now and I've barely gotten around to playing them
So many games, so little time... -
-
ack, overlooked this. :X
Well, quite a few of the textures were included with the map pack - we did custom team-colored variations on a number of textures (a lot of the green and orange painted bits were there in the stock textures, so we just reversed that), but most of the textures in the shot you mentioned are in the original game... So yeah, you'd need to get the game anyway to get to them.
Though as far as I know id still frowns on 'their' (because after all, our people painted these
) textures being used in other games, even their own. So your best option might be to try out Q4 if/when you want to use them.
-
You can't really use those textures for Q3 unless you want convert all the maps to defuse by combining layers, which doesn't look all that great unless you know what you doing. evil_lair taught me a method however, PM me if you're interested.

Love it, really styled out. Great job

Ha really cool looking maps, got to love the Q style. Thought about mapping for Q but learning unrealED tuck a fare bit of time and I hear Q ED is loads harder.
