pretty awesome. are you going to have the streets modeled or will it be part of the terrain? if you're going to leave them modeled like in the screen shots, you should add some detail to the ramps, flat ramps look terrible.

    (<3 huge screen shots)

Bic: They will be part of the terrain. The BF2 engine allows you to draw splines on the terrain that contours to the terrain surface. From the spline you can apply a road, and it'll interpolate the road properly. Most of the roads will be done this way.

    dark : thanks

hopefuly i'll have a screen of the textured hovercraft later tonight.

Its looking great, and it looks like fun too.

Btw, how do you handle collision models? Did you have to create collision models for everything? Or is that automated by the engine or something?

And did you texture it in max too?

I adjusted my meshes to create a collision model for vehicles, one for infantry, and a mesh to handle projections. And I unwrapped in 3dsmax

Amazing work ferret, only things that spring to mind right now is that some of the buildings look kind of bland (much brownness) and also the limits of the map are awfully plain. But obviously its wrong to point critisism at this time, since you're obviously aware and under time pressure. But excellent stuff overall so far~

Looks like there's loads of room for cool backalley fights, hope we can have a big playtest of this when its done ~

that was rendered with low quality so that might have something to do with it bic. Mazzle sadly I dont have enough time to make the textures less repetitive in terms of color and actual texture. If i have time this fall I"ll come back and do the project justice. Hopefuly with use of light and shadows I can for the most part get rid of repetiveness. I'll keep you guys updated.

still have to finish the texture on the hovercraft and sculpt the sorrounding terrain better to suit it.
