My WIP AR/SC70 mix - 4,647 polys with a 2048X1024 texture. The animations it's compiled on are by Jennifer!! but they don't work at all (buggy, and don't fit the weapon).

Still WIP, but I wondering if I've approached this correctly with the changes.

Cheers Sindwiller. I've released it for the Galil here, if anyone wants it!

Quakis, I'd recommend using another smoothing group on the inward part of the base. Whenever you have something like that it looks better to use a seperate group so it adds an edge to it, rather than awkwardly "rounding" it like it is now. Plus, put a skylight with shadows on for rendering - it looks much better . Otherwise it looks alright.

looks fantastic. the flatness of the grip doesnt look so hot in game unfortunatly but that render is

Cheers for the comment, I'll keep the render lighting in mind. However when it comes to smooth groups, I haven't seen an option in Blender to do this other than smoothing the selected faces. Probably looked over it, I'll see what I can do.

PS: Why do the chrome shaders overexposure that much when rendering with mia_physical_sky and sun??

I must admit, cars are one of the sexist things you can model, low or high poly, and in renders its just, porno for geeks.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't go that far but, top notch stuff there. Is that a preset scene that you are rendering it in? What program are you using for rendering?

EDIT: Oh dear, I appear to have spammed up the front page

This is a old Renault TN6C as a prop model for dods custom maps !

    (5900 poly)

    Needs:

    - unwrap

    - skining

    - lods

I already compiled it to test the proportions.

The geometry seems to be fine, and the smoothing groups are great.

Looking forward to see it textured!

I'm no modeller - but that sure doesn't look like 5900 polys to me.
