Actually, to be totally fair, it's not all my work.

Small freelance/favour job to get some character models prepped and into Multiverse for a demo next week.

The initial model and textures was done by some students in the US and while their OK as static models, they were rather less than optimal for actually using in a game or rigging.

So I got the job of "fixing" them so that they'll actually animate and compile properly into the engine for the presentation.

Still, kinda fun working low-poly again. Takes me back to my British Airborne model days with Goldsrc

the shape and texture seems to be very good, kind of hard to see with the yellow lighting... But why does it have a black outline?

The border is just for presentation. Maybe its too thick? Cant decide if 2 pixels or 1 pixel is best.

Better use no borders at all and place it to the ground plane for some nifty little shadows

I got to have the border all good presentations have borders. This is the new composition, hopefully its a little less irradiated green

It looks even more bright green/yellow. Looks like a great model but why such extreme lighting on the render, keep it simple please!

Im not going for a "real life" look, i want something a bit more dramatic like GoW, which uses extreme lighting and then does post processing to bring it back to look like the final result. I just cant go with really desaturated texture and lights, it just looks like crap to me :/
