Hey guys, been awhile. I've been really busy with summer school and work so I haven't had that much time to devote to modeling. This is some of the stuff I've been doing during my lunch breaks.
Some windows

I had a question about planes. I wanted to attach a plane to the wooden post above, but it would only display the faces on one side. I heard that you needed to change the properties of the plane object and change backface cull. I did that but it didn't display the other side in the render. If anyone has any ideas what in satan's anus I'm doing wrong, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

Yeah, I got inspired tonight so I made a quick render/scene
and yeah I find the idea of someone killing himself with a hammer to be funny

Very cool stuff oog, I like the cartoony/dementia style you got there.
As for the planes, for HL2, you just add the line $nocull 1 to the .qc file when you compile it. For just rendering it in the editor, usually I just copy the plane and flip the facing. Other than that... I dunno

Havn't had much time to do much more.

Exhaust is a bit off and cant find any decent large pics of the suspension setup and engine area.

Front suspension is a basic double-wishbone with a cantilevered spring/shock setup. I can give you some details on that if you like.
[Blocked Image: http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/8362/atomsuspab8.jpg]
Cantilever pivot connects to the frame, cantilever pivots around it.
Cantilever is that little triangular piece that connects to the connecting rod and spring/shock assembly. It basically turns the direction of the connecting rod(in/out as the suspension moves) to the direction of the spring/shock(front/back)
Connecting rod, just connects the spindle(what the wheel attaches to) to the cantilever.
Steering rod, connects rack and pinion to the spindle
Upper Control arm/wishbone, is basically two legs of a triangle made out of round tubing that connects to the spindle and frame, basically half of what holds the wheel to the car.
Lower control arm/wishbone, same thing as the upper but... lower

nocull is added to the vmt

as for rendering oobi - if you open your material browser (M) - I presume you are using 3dsmax - and select the material you want to be 2-sided, there is a check box under the first sub-menu that says "2 Sided". I believe this will show up in renders now, but you may have to go into your render settings (F10) and allow 2-sided materials in one of the tabs. Sorry I can't be more specific I don't have max open. You'll find it anyway.

OL, you could save a lot of polies at the concrete block and the brown metal coming out of it......or is this model meant to be highlighted in the map

Bianca Beauchamp makes my thing go big.
Personally I prefer the other SiN girl.

OL, I think the metal is a bit high poly considering the detail on the concrete block itself. I know the texture isn't yours but it looks pretty low resolution and there's a slight UV problem on the top chamfer.

Just made my lamp and imported it into HL2, mind the test map.
Currently getting a better screen however.Edit; Done
