Been studying 3ds Max for about 4 weeks now, and this is my first more or less serious model. No textures though. I think everyone starts with guns

Hey heyyy. What's up. Been working hard and thought I'd show a little side project. Got to play a little around with Mental Ray in Maya. Can't say I'm a big fan of non real time rendering techniques but it does have some cool bells and whistles. That's kind of an improvisation on a model and concept made by Nick "Panick" who is... incredible. I've been drooling over his work and thought I might study it to get some hands on at doing hard surface type modeling. So yep... wish I could join the Whiteboxing challenge... but so much work... I can't.
