Its not perfect, but its better than dead bodies clipping through the walls. TS needs this for 2.2.

newsflash: more people play cs than cs:source! it's not dead. it'll take a while for hl1 to die.

It's well done but still looks crappy compared to source.

I think that it is cool that they are doing theese kind of updates to the good old HL engine. I am not impressed with the stuff from the MI team such as 3d sky, etc. though - it simply don't looks like anything you not would be able to do with vanilla hl.

When MI comes out it will be the best looking hl mod. period.

Anyways, i started playing TS again last weekend. After playing CS:S and HL2, the hl1 engine is repulsive. And since TS isnt going source, i think they should take every chance to enhance the HL engine.

Why the hell aren't they going to Source? That engine is made for that game

Heh that's pretty cool. One of the coders on FF (billdoor) actually implemented ragdolls for CS 1.6, but he didn't get around to making the model collision test against itself (i.e. so the limbs just fell through the character's body and it looked a bit stupid) as he had other stuff to do. It still looked pretty cool for HL1.

When I said HL1 is dead i meant the engine.

Everybody who is still developing for this engine should consider moving the hell on

HL developing is like demosceners trying to crank sweet demos in 4k, brilliant and exciting to watch. Next they could try to raise the amount of polies the engine can handle.

I know. I want to slap those anime bastards across the face.

Not that theres anything wrong with anime... well actually there is. Some anime isnt bad, like akira. Anyways, back to ragdoll hl1 discussion ~

Seriously. TS with some cool physics would be like being in an action movie. Even more than it is now.

TS is a really good concept, i think its a new one, albiet its an old mod...

no other games that i have heard of use the concept of

matrix xtyle action, other than of course the matrix games

Max Payne is really the obvious comparison to draw.
