Hello everyone. I'm new here and I just ask for your help if you let me. I am trying to create a finish for ak47 but I have a problem and I don't know how to solve it. When I import my .vtf in CS: GO Workshop, black spots appear as shown in the pictures. Yet there is no black on my finish and made on photoshop is perfect. Someone could explain me? Thank you in advance. (sorry for my english, i'm french

[CS:GO] Problem with ak47 finish

Can you show us your UV? (The texture)
It might be because certain parts aren't textured maybe..

i have the same issue with the front of the magazine. i dont think it has an assigned texture. maybe its just randomized? not sure
as for the other spots, maybe my template will help find the pesky uv areas
-
Thank you for your template. I just test it on photoshop, we note that on the side of the magazine, there are several areas that are colored, I don't understand why. Furthermore, the workhop, there again black spots that appear. I'm completely lost, how do you don't have these black spots? I just noticed that the black spots also appear on the classic version of the weapon, so I guess we can not do anything. Notice to creators AK47: Have you had this kind of problem? [Blocked Image: http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/28653626ss.jpg]

your skin looks fine when i load it into photoshop. front of mag is white. but in workshop its black. this is weird

Yes, this is weird...
Anyway, I still published my finish on the workshop. Thank you for your help

Just started to design my own skins. I know this is a really old post, but just thought
I'd mention that the front of the magazine is mapped outside the 1x1 texture space and
when the texture tiles, maps over the bottom right side of the textures. Which means
all the colours for the little bits and pieces ends up on the front of the magazine.
Doesn't really matter as in first person view you never see it but it's silly simply because they
could have overlapped this part on the back of the magazine making it a bit less nasty as it currently is.
The UV padding is also ridiculous sometimes touching or even slightly overlapping each other.
