    Hello,
I just started working on my map project for Garry´s Mod. I want to make a tram rails inspired by real ones in my town. I never used some modelling programs, and models prefabs arent good. So I must make rails from simple blocks. I tried to make switch and everything is fine. For arches I am using arch tool. But I have problem with tilting. When i tilt rails with vertex tool space beetwen them change and I am very limited. Rotating is bad idea because I want to stay in grid most as possible.

Thank you in advance for any ideas !

Well, the mapper in the image below is using a whole lot more brushes than you and it's hard to say whether the tracks are evenly spaced throughout, the point is that they look like they are. On your one if you try starting the bend further to the left on the inside corner you can make the second gap bigger. Also you can rotate and then move the vertexes to the next best grid points (if that's what you mean by staying on the grid) I'm not a hugely experienced mapper so I don't know how important that really is.

The best way to do this with brushes would be to use func_instances.

Here's a link that pretty much explains how to do it: by KFS.

I think learning a little bit of 3d modeling might be favorable and worth the effort.

3ds max has a free student license and once you learn the basics, it's really easy method of Lofting to get what you want: http://youtu.be/6cqc89KqUx8?t=1m32s

But, if not, I think you'll have to just rotate the track pieces, then use the vertex tool to matche the end of the pieces (I know it's not perfect, but if it's close enough, players won't notice IMO).
