Until I get the web site to show off my portfolio running, I wanted to know if these were good to add to my portfolio? 1st is a mock up of an abandoned hospital using sketchup. Next two are hand-drawn, then altered using gimp. Criticism needed.

Dunno. Are you applying for a construction engineer position?

lol, I plan to be a level designer for video games. You'll notice the tiny sentences strewn about the page. Those are either scripted events, item or weapon locations or enemy placement.

Level designers design levels. As in, levels for games. As in, things people can play. I cannot play your screenshots and conceivably they are for no game in particular. These are issues

Also for the first image, don't make us tilt our heads/monitors.

He's absolutely correct. You need to apply your top down to an actual game. Half-Life 2 is great for creating sp missions try Source SDK, also try UDK.

Also, top-downs and layout blueprints only get you so far. You need to show off your knowledge of level design by implementing and your ability to rework / tweak gameplay based on feedback.

Pretty much what everyone else said. These would probably be good portfolio material if they accompanied the final map

eg. "here's the level I made, and here's my planning documents, look at how professional I am"
