it seems really bipolar right now. its raining on a very sunny day but the rocks are extremely cooly lit, etc. seems to make virtually no sense I'm afraid. I would really sit back and rethink the lighting, perhaps going back to the night but just making the walls brighter

Since the impending deadline, wouldn't be probably more easy just to cut the rain effect for the contest, and then adjust for a final release?

Well I'm trying but now I really need to finish B and CT spawn. It will be a miracle if I can do it with the last 24 hous ^^

Last screenshots release before the deadline :

I'd do some more work on the stones above the broken wall in the first screenshot. Bricks like that wouldn't have any mortar (or it wouldn't be strong enough to hold one up like that), so they'd just fall down. Maybe have them coming down but precariously still holding each up.

yes i mean we have to consider the contest and the deadline. i would not presume to tell 3dnj how to do it, but i think if he can get something a bit more coherent (perhaps use aztec's settings? i mean its a pretty similar map to aztec? but then again aztec isn't that popular...) it's tough. a sunny aztec without rain sounds good to me, personally

edit: those screenshots above are a step in teh right direction. i would go with more green shadows though, the purple is a color i'm very biased towards liking, but it's an odd fit for this map

Stuff is looking cool. An easy rule IMO when choosing the ambient light for an outdoor scene is to match the ambient color to the sky color (or pick a light color you like and then fix the sky to match that )

In your map the sky looks pretty desaturated bright blue more towards the green side than the purple at the horizon, don't know what it looks like straight up tho.

Yeah, at first I wanted to change the sky a bit, but it's not the time ^^.

Also I slept to much time this night, argh !!!

Well I gues it's the end right now ^^ I can't make it properly for tonight, and also a large part of myself don't want to because the map won't be in it's better day like this... too many things rushed out.

I don't like half of what I'm doing since a few days and the last places I need to do are tricky because of a lot of height variation.

Thanks for your support guys I will work on this map the next few weeks to make it THE BEST !!

I'd say push more purple... and you get the Blood Dragon setting [Blocked Image: http://forum.multiplayer.it/images/faccine/asd.gif]

Jokes aside, do agree with the posts above.

    FMPONE: ok, understood

OT: is it really Aztec not popular now? (i've played cs:go just a few times) When i was still playing regularly CS:S a couple of years ago it was still "the shit" for lots of players. Me, personally always hated it, always found it unbalanced for Ts... and always got pounded hard during clanwars

Looks like you will need to rename it.

The new pictures look really nice, but a little dark. Maybe you should make the inside a bit lighter.

    Hey guys !

Now i'm not in a hurry for the contest, I will rework a lot of what I've already done in this map.

First thing, textures. I'm testing some new ones, less contrasted, better resolution (512 to 1024) and something more like mexican old temple (I will rename the map de_yucatan for the contry in mexico that have a lot of cool ruins)

First try this morning, what do you think ?

I think you want somewhere in the middle. The bottom one looks very flat, the top one looks too low resolution.

Yeah, I think the fact that it's so perfect messes with my head. Maybe add some cracks or push out some pieces?
