So the solution was to chuck everything on off or low and it finally ran, either the game can't handle that level due to the exterior sections size or its the glass shader being poorly designed.
Didn't bother turning the settings back up after, didn't want to risk getting 1 fps again.

which tram is that? is that after you go...somewhere else...and come back?

That is most likely a problem on your hardware side. Game ran solid 60fps though entire lenght for me.

It's a fairly common problem, there's a bunch of threads on steam etc about it. There should be no part of your game where it can go from 50 fps to 1 fps, ever, no excuse. Clearly some combination of elements in that area is causing Nvidea cards to die.

Nvidias drivers have been SHIT lately. I have reverted twice off of the past 2 releases. I'm running 368.22 atm

I've been getting a weird issue recently that shadowplay intialising is taking forever at random times and taking the game exe with it (5 minutes on a black screen)

Just so you know, on Green Man Gaming there's a Bethesda sale and Doom is -40%. Then with the JULY20 discount code you get further -20%. Final game price goes down to 20£.
Just got it, installing it

-
Damn I bought it to early then
Anyway, I really enjoyed the singleplayer. Finally a game where movement is important again. Also a lot of the map design was really great. -
Since my JBL speakers have apparently given up, I'm not sure if to play it connected to the TV or move the desk to face the TV so I can use the sound bar in Bluetooth and have decent audio

This game is fucking A! I didn't fiddle with settings, just rolled with defaults and it's very beautiful and running smoothly on my 970M.
In a period of overwork and so much stress I'm feeling this is a real valve.
Am I the only sucker to struggle fighting the shielded guards?? Seems like I either use all my resources if I don't have the chainsaw fuelled up.

I know this sounds gay as fuck, but you need to take them from behind.
@BJA, any word on the Hell modules yet?
-
Yeah, I don't understand how I did it in the first couple encounters, if they were scripted to be dumber or is just that with more crowded environments…
Im climbing up the tower (reminds me of HL), got frustrated at that point where you have to climb the revolving modules that look like a subway carriage rotated 90 deg

This game runs so well on Vulkan, that's amazing ! I mean I was expecting lower 90fps at 1080p on ultra, but I ended up on average at 170 fps...
For a game that beautiful, it's amazing. This game should be the reference in terms of optimization for all game developers around the world! Or is it? Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm happy of how well it performs.

I had a random thought when I was playing my last session day before yesterday, I think it's because of the gore level, but here it is: id could do a remake/reboot of Duke Nukem and after this I'm sure they'd pull it off!

I might be tempted to create some levels for this, but I have to ask - what are the limitations with Snapmap? how many people do the multiplayer modes support?
