Update: Ballistic is live on the US and has had a major makeover! Check it out at https://apps.facebook.com/ballistic-game/

    Hi everyone!

It`s been nearly three years since I left Ubisoft to join Aquiris, and since then we`ve been hard at work. We`ve been through a long road and it`s great to finally have something concrete to show. I'd like to share with you some screenshots and footage of our upcoming game: Ballistic. It's a FPS that will run natively on the facebook canvas using Unity.

Here is a video of our beta build:

    External Content www.youtube.com
Content embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.
Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy.

We expect to give a new meaning to games running on the facebook canvas with premium graphics and great performance on a great game experience with easy accessibility and without the need of a large download and complex installs.

The game is being developed by Aquiris here in Brazil and published by Rumble games.

    Release is expected Q1 2013.

In the current build you can level up and earn credits to purchase guns and enhancements such as extra loadouts. You earn career points that you spend on a straightforward skill tree that allows you to do cool stuff such as use an SMG for a secondary weapon or do silent kills with your knife.

We currently are going to have a closed beta, unfortunately for most of you it will be restricted to Brazil only. Here is the sign-up website if you are interested: http://www.ballistic.com/ but the game should be released worldwide for free somewhere at the start of next year.

It is entirely streamed and we use procedural textures for most of our environments as well as having all textures compressed with Allegorithmic's Substance designer.

If you are interested in some of the process for our substance creation you can watch our presentation from Unite. The Ballistic presentation starts at 35:30 onwards after our Riders of Berk presentation. It was still called Quantum Conflict back then.

There is still a long road ahead of us towards launch, but we are very proud of what we have acomplished =)

Thanks a lot guys! It really means a lot to hear your early compliments, and I hope that sometime soon you'll all be able to take a look in-game!

We`ve opened the servers a few times the last couple days to stress test it, and we are confident that we`ll have a smooth beta experience. The guys are making tweaks to ours servers and I hope to have some more media for your appreciation soon.

Many thanks once more! I can`t wait to flood your facebook walls with multi-kills!

    Hello everyone!

    [Blocked Image: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b183/Ar…058311401_n.png]

The new version of Ballistic is finally open for US players. I'd like to invite everyone to try it out and I would love to hear your criticism, suggestions and input as its still largely in development.

This is a big step for us since the game has had a major makeover from 2.0 to the current 3.0 version. We've added a bunch of new features like character classes and a wealth of cool skills, reworked the UI/UX and rebalanced the whole game almost from the ground up.

Play the game right now at https://apps.facebook.com/ballistic-game/

Stay tuned on Ballistic news via our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ballisticgame

There is a lot that is already being worked on, basic stuff like Play with friends, XP transfers and Clans are all on the roadmap, some features should roll out in the next few weeks!

It is curious that it's Facebook-only. Is it because Facebook provides some kind of easy profile creation, tracking, etc? Seems like it could limit the audience as Facebook games seem less in favour nowadays compared to even two years ago.

Hey guys, sorry for the absence. The alst couple days have been hunting down bugs and tweaking balance for a hotfix that should go out today

Minos, I'll release some screenshots when the official website is up and running. We should get a new trailer as well.

Peris, the game should come out on Kongrgate in a few days. I'll let you know.

Thrik, we are not exclusively on Facebook, but the platform offers several advantages at this point with the ease and low cost of acquiring players for testing. We are coming out on Kongrgate and on our own platform at Rumble Games very soon, and we can release on basically any platform (steam, standalone...) and have unified servers and profiles.

I'll let you guys know when the next update and the Kongregate app gets released. Thanks!
