Okay dudes I've created the "Mapcoria" region on Europe West 6 server. Add Puuddddyy on Origin, log on to the server and I'll send you an invite.
Write in this thread if you have any issues. See you ingame. ![]()

I thought IT had a lot of control regarding network traffic... Are you really anonymous from a company network? There's a timestamp on the post, and he/she said he/she is an artist, could be enough info...?
It'd be ridiculous to fire someone over that though.
Is origin fucked as well? I can't open any chat either...
Puddy, the region is Private
Invite me!
And it seems like something went wrong with Origin chat indeed.
I've invited you both guys! Origin/Simcity servers can be a bit sketchy so we'll probably have to work out various issues. ![]()
Everyone else, join up for MapCore glory! "Mapcoria" on Europe West 6 server. Add Puuddddyy on Origin, log on to the server and I'll send you an invite.

Added you, my origin id is MequetrefeOposto.
Is there an easy way to search for the region? Don't feel like browsing through 100s of different ones ![]()
You need an invite and you'll find the region after receiving it
. I haven't gotten your friendrequest though!
EDIT: I sent you a request. Send me a message on Origin once you're ready. ![]()
Been playing it for some 25 hours now, actually it's been really stable for me the last 2 days, but even when you get past all the server issues then it's probably my least favorite SimCity game.
I know all this co-op stuff is super trendy and sounds pretty neat on paper, but after having gone through 2 cities and absolutely maximised them with all the space you've got, and suddenly realising that you're missing loads of bits to make things function properly as the city grows, then it just feels like a super limiting game. All the core mechanics and feel of the game is brilliant, but it repeatedly feels like a cruel joke when you run out of space, and have to bulldoze most of your city or work together with other players to make things work, or start a new city just to serve a single purpose.
It probably wouldn't run on most PCs today, but if they doubled the size of cities it would be the best game in the series by a long shot, but everytime I load up one of my cities now it just feels very anticlimactic.
Fucking gorgeous game tho, the next iteration of this could be truly amazing if they expand the city sizes.
Gonna play it some more, but I kinda already feel like I've seen most of what it can provide :G~
Played 5h straight now, totally loving it
But I'm not the kind of guy to challenge myself and play multiple cities so I'll see how long I'll keep on playing.
Getting skyscrapers is way easier in this game!

Join the mapcore region!
Anyone else feel individual sim simulation is kind of irrelevant? I mean, what difference does it make if you can follow each sim in the city or maybe just 10 or 20?
I haven't followed a sim yet. ![]()
Gonna wrap up for today. Gotta say that Minos has got the best looking city so far. I probably take the prize for worst looking. I opted for a shitty starting position and built the city intentionally shitty (dirt roads, non-grid layout, polluting structures etc) and now my mission is to clean the city up.
It's pretty damn hard tbh.
i've made two cities, I've lost both of them and they make me do the tutorial every time I load it up.
fuck this shit
True, it's definitely pretty
But this has to account for something as well, right? xD Trying to cram as much in there as possible, skyscrapers ftw.
It's getting pretty hard though ![]()
Seems like there's a bug with recycle centers though, they claim there's nothing to recycle... So now my city is going down under all that ground pollution since nothing gets picked up :s Apparently it's a quite common bug.

Help me out here bros.
My region is full but Sims want more work and home areas. Roads are upgraded but they don't build bigger homes and businesses. What gives? No room to build more, anywhere...
They are going to always want more I think. Even if you have a perfect grid with only skyscrapers they'll want you to build more.
Increasing density of areas takes time. If you use the Building Density data layer you should see which areas are likely to expand and which are stagnant. Select a building that really should expand and see if it's showing the "Not enough room to increase density"-message. That's a possibility if the roads are built too tightly.
Okay guys, I've abandoned New Puddingtonville! It's called "Pinewood Hills" on the Mapcore region and should give you a 150 000 simoleon cash reward for claiming it (I demolished everything and left the cash). That should be enough to clean up some of my ground pollution. ![]()
EDIT: Moving into a nearby, more flat city. There simply wasn't room for oil refineries and shit on a piece of land that was basically a hill.
