Ahh there's an exclusive feature about this in the latest PCG (UK) with lots of media, it's like Half-Life 2 meets the new Bioshock, looks very cool!

I'm seriously extremely excited about this. The more I read about it, the more I love this game.
-
Yup the EDGE write up made it sound pretty cool.
I don't especially like the art style though...

They look fine to me. Also, is the setting a Steampunk Nazi Germany? If so, how the fuck hasn't this been a setting for a game before?????

i am kind of digging the setting but something rubs me the wrong way about this game i cant quite put my finger on it ...

Victor Antonov is an awesome artist, but he also got a very distinctive style, in the "negative" sense that looking at Dishonored and The Crossing and Half-Life 2 they all look very, very familiar from their architecture and vehicle design. And while this looked fresh in Half-Life 2, looking at the Dishonored Concepts, I see the Combine APC Vehicle and Ship designs, Striders, Combine Police Officers (Gas Masked and Grey trenches), Overwatch Towers with strong headlights, Forcefields to block players out of a certain area, Alleys that end up in this half-shaded vista that were typical for the City17 levels in HL2, the texture style guide looks in places 100% the same... I mean I loved Half-Life 2 and it's art-style so it's not an entirely bad thing, but it just looks like a victorian/steampunk expansion pack to the same universe...
Gameplay wise it looks very different though and I think Arkane have proven that they can make great, fun games (Dark Messiah of Might and Magic).

Cunning of you to point all that out that out e-freak... I tend to agree. My guess is they hired the guy who made City17 for the project for a reason. Because the people want more of it!
I think what's bugging me is the dominant red/blue color palette. They're probably scared of making everything too rusty like it should be. You think we can hijack those strider suits?
