    its not based on any specific real life location. the level was supposed to be set in "a nameless italien city during ww2"

    My absolute favorite map from Modern Warfare 2 that I decided to do for Counter-Strike.

    The map itself contains about 100% custom content taken from Modern Warfare 2 and ported to Source.

    I NEVER got around to building the actual planes outside and the rest of the interior. Also suffering from some horrible bugs in-game, probably due to the massive amounts of brushes in this map.

    These are one of the many reasons why this will never see the light of day lol

    I guess originality is nothing these days then, if even some pros here get impressed by something that's basically 1:1 copy with 100% ripped content. I would be okay of a remake though, if you tried to make it your own somehow, by altering layout or having bit different looks that makes it look less of a clone.

    Sure, it does look nice, but I could almost say it's by no means because of your level designing skill/creativity.

    Obviously he didn't make the layout, but even a port requires some work and talent.

    To be honest I think it would be cool if you did a remake with some tweaks to the layout and if you used new, custom assets (ripping them from MW2 might get you into legal issues).

    Even a straight rip would be a technical challenge, and to get something that looks good on a completely different engine is itself impressive. It's more of a technical marvel than anything, obviously nobody is saying "good job creating all that content"

    Gosh! I was doodling down a layout for a small terminal map just a few days ago I was thinking about the new Demolition mode in CSGO to find a small project to get my brushing going again.

    I don't get straight rips, COD and CS play pretty differently, what works in one is not even likely to work in the other. That map wasn't even fun in CODMW2 it was a circular cluster fuck.

    I liked it and I can definitely see it being adapted to fit CS, if at the very least for demolition or gungame.
