I saw a weird skull/horn thing on my compass, and decided to go check it out. It turned out to be a Giant camp, and the giants did not at all appreciate me walking up, and without warning went hostile. One hit me. Once.

lol @ giant bug, happens to me every time. A poor elk walked a wee bit too close to them and also got the same

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/YsxgY.jpg]

I also stumbled upon a weird bug where the water is renderned way above the surface level it's supposed to. I could only see it at the spot looking a certain angle.

And finally another beauty shot before I shut the game down:

I love the TES, but seriously, this is a next-gen game or what ?

A lot of thing are just simple texture projected on a mesh...

i think there is sometimes too much freedom, it makes it feel like they are having trouble conveying a solid focused story. doesn't feel very dramatic when a guy insists i go kill a dragon and instead i go around picking flowers and stealing apples like some kind of 18th century london orphan.

i'm enjoying it but i keep looking at some of the scenery and thinking they could have appeased a PC crowd by just throwing in some DX11 shit, some nice rendering, tesselation or POM, or just anything to make it less fucking ugly. it's pretty much on the same level of quality as oblivion, and that game is old as shit i like the technical idea of some of their stuff - like auto generating either moss or snow on rocks depending on the objects height in the world, but then they have this terrible 1bit alpha as a mask.

the voice acting is, once again, diabolical. there's main storyline characters who sound like 18 year old norwegians, and then there's some sidequest dude hidden underground who has the coolest most badass voice in the game. it's just really weird.

i wonder if beth were working on this since falllout3 or if this is a second team who were given a year.

Ummm, seriously? This game is fucking beautiful. Are you running on ultra etc? I think it looks great. It's a really atmospheric world!

I played 5 hours altogether yesterday and I'm really into it now, can't wait for another round later today . The art is fantastic, it's so well put together and everything looks so hand crafted. The graphics are lacking, but the way they've used what they've got more than makes up for it.

Loving the game. Biggest improvement over Oblivion are the dungeons imo. They seem a lot more interesting and less cookie cutter. Even found a couple riddles, something that i completely missed in Oblivion.

Also the size of the game, damn... I'm 13 hours in and have seen barely anything going by the map. Cleared like 4 or 5 dungeons but there are over 130 in the game afaik.

Had to travel to Riften for a quest but stumbled over so much stuff on the way, almost spent half the night only on this journey. They didn't lie when they said they never put so much stuff in one of their games before.

Visualy the game is hit or miss imo. Some places look rather ugly, in other places the scenery is breathtaking and beautiful.

I'm honestly really confused. I haven't found an ugly part of the game yet.. The one thing I'd call close to being 'less than beautiful' are the large open landscapes without any trees, where you can see tiling textures on walls etc. Apart from that, fantastic.

Menu fucking sucks though. And key binding sucks too. I used the arrow keys and rebinded everything around the arrow keys, and I still have to press tab to go back, and the bind instructions still show the default binds so I have to blindly press my new bindings until I get the right function.

Have you stood looking out over a cliff at the city below yet. The distance views is what I find lacking the most. Looking up at the mountains is beautiful but looking down from them over land scape is awful.

    Hint: Use the favorite menu!

The menus indeed suck, without that menu it takes you like 3 or 4 menus to select a weapon or a magic or a shield, wtf.

THIS! Because of this i'm using the standard controls. First time that i play a game with wsad.

I'm getting the hang now of the controls but it still feels a bit awkward and clunky.

I was really surprised to see the favorites menu is just a small list on the side, instead of a radial menu. No options to assign equipment/spells to 1-9 keys, afaik, either.

I don't have much hope for Bethesda improving the UI, but for every game they've released since Morrowind fans have replaced their UIs with vastly improved mods, so I'm hoping for that instead.
