I think you're adopting the trial and error and posting on forums tactic here, before doing almost no study at all. Just stop, and read this:

    http://www.poopinmymouth.com/tutorial/n ... flow_2.htm

    http://wiki.polycount.com/NormalMap?act ... 1698abbf3f

    http://www.svartberg.com/tutorials/arti ... lmaps.html

    viewtopic.php?t=6806

    http://www.game-artist.net/forums/4693-post74.html

    http://www.gameartisans.org/gamecon/tutorials/tut_3.htm

    http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autode ... n-3ds-max/ <- very good tut

Read that like it's the bible, only THEN start fucking around with bakings! otherwise you'll waste your time with trial and errors and headaches that can be avoided if you give it the proper study.

You are the absolute best when it comes to finding tutorials. Do you have like a huge library of these? I just recently started building a bookmark folder that now have so many tutorials that you have recommended, that I actually need to start organizing it into sections.

Yeah, I have a huge bookmarks list. I'm a organization whore when it comes to bookmarks too, so I have everything split into categories so when I'm having problems with something, be it modeling, UV'ing, texturing, i know where to go and find help fast.

Maybe I should create a thread with some links on them!

3DS Max Cylindrical Mapping Problem like Cylinder Radios, Diameter, Length, Depth, Height. First for check Cam gear for the surface to the cylinder and put in to check various options.

Cylindrical Imaging wrap textures around the object in one direction. It is the veil of "pigs in a blanket" to be used for boy or girl scouts. This mapping technique works well with bottles or cans. Doesn't work very well with more complex forms, the reason for the lack of texturing tops and double bottoms.
