It sounds like either a porno or a kids game. I liked yo ho ho, up we go.
skyward plunderers
pirates of the seven skies
levitating maritime law oppressors
emos on testosterones
"Onward, Swashbuckler!"
swashbucklers of the seven skies could work too ![]()
Don't most games of this type use the main characters name? At a stretch you could use the boat or some other major character (ex: Zelda)
The problem with most of these names is, while they may roll off the tongue better, they're kind of generic and could be tied to a hundred different games. Whereas if the name is something in the actual fiction you don't have this problem. Easy way to establish your franchise too (should you want to expand later).
Also, every time I watch the trailer I get slightly too excited around this point.

Actually, I'd make-up a word but make it easy to spell -- e.g. "Narbacular Drop"
I like what I see so far. I have not been satisfied with any Pirate game and all the pirate themed content in WoW over the years yarr has me a tharst for booty and plunderin'.
If you guys want to talk down the road distribution strategy, I'd be more than happy to help brainstorm.

PS: Campaignjunkie your analysis of the name on the second page of this thread was possibly one of the best posts ever on mapcore. For reals. ![]()
Avast! (including exclamation point).
Oh, and to answer the question the trailer posed: Does it matter? No it does not. It's all awesome. Looks great guys!
Quote from SkjalgHeh, the first name was Annhas Adventure, and then we came up with Annhas Awesome Adventure; A triple A title. But only game devs would get the joke
As to what tools were used;
I used Visual Studio and Unity. Also had maya installed to make it work with the assets. Warby used Maya and photoshop for the most part.
Damn, those licences must have been expensive!

by the way i am actually really happy for you guys - great to see how you are pulling this off and i hope you really turn this into a profitable enough venture to keep going and support yourselves.

We are among the finalists of the Indiedb contest to win a Unity pro license by the way:
http://www.indiedb.com/news/unity-givea ... -finalists
Some of the competing games look really good and fun, let's keep our fingers crossed!
Quote from Rick_DDamn, those licences must have been expensive!
- unity is free ( competing for a pro license as we speak in that contest)
- maya for the coders for the asset importing can be done with the demo if remember correctly but not even that is necessary zacker lives happily without maya as logn as he gets the 3d cach with the project from me .
- visual studio the guys already had do to previous jobs (don´t know what they cost)
- photoshop was expansive yes !
- my full maya license yeah that one is GOING to be expansive ![]()
but you can see a game like this can run on licenses cheaper than 3000$ if you do it right
visual studio c# edition is free
