To be honest, that doesen't look that good, as Gin says, what the deal with the Comb Wall and the concrete wall? If this is supposed to be a 'scene' that is made just to look super detailed for screenshots, then you have ALONG way to the goal and need to spend alot more than 45 mins for this. I made a 'screenshot' map for Q3, that took me ~3 months active mapping.

er, well all you've got there is a small space populated with a few brushes and some HL2 props. you haven't even finished the area, the edges just end with sky. what kind of feedback can you expect?
what you have is decent enough, but you have to develop it a lot more before you can expect any real input.

Yeh . well, - before I can conntinue I have to fix the lighting, the problem is that whatever I do with the Light_env, it just result in a VERY dark map... uhm hard to explain, but I'm sure it's something I do completly wrong.

uhm. Wild guess, could it be the Pitch / yaw roll?!?!

set your pitch to -65 or something like that. whatever floats your boat.

Using a 3d-skybox in it Jack?
It casts shadows on the level, so if it is placed in a bad place that may be the problem.

No, I'm not using a 3d skybox, simply because I don't really know how to make them good. But nevermind, zeOx figured it out for me, so he get's todays cookie!
Oh- and btw, how do I make the de_dust palmtrees good? I know I have to place the branches in the 3d skybox, but as I've said before, I don't really know how to make the 3d skybox good, any tutorials with the palmtrees you guys know of?

JacK - i think understanding how the 3d skybox actually works rather than just following a tutorial to get it to work helps. see what im sayin?
